That they do. History can be manipulated...it constantly is. Hopefully tomorrow the injustice will be finally put right. What has she got to do with this? Although she is far more deserving of a number one than some of those who have been given them related to this topic. I'm pretty sure she sold more than River that week too... even B*Witched may have been on-par

It was. It was released in 1994 though, not as an Amazon "exclusive" ;-) haha

    Thanks :)

Not at all. Cool if you like it. I've never spoken to anyone who even knew it existed ;-) Did you intentionally stream it 900,00 times from various devices on Amazon Christmas week last year? Then at least that part of the "mystery" would at least be solved :) Oh don't - you're killing me ;0)

10? Surely it's a maximum of 6 (at least four of those being family members and friends)? Even Mariah would barely make triple figures these days ;-)

I don't think they can or will bother this week as that week last year when we were given that fallacy of a "chart", they had her "leading" from minute dot. They can't cook up a plot to erase a 13,000-strong difference in 36 hours. Surely... Next week or the one after...well that's almost a given...

hahaha you truly wouldn't expect them to. But last year literally has no other reasonable explanation. If the deliberately (publicly released and verified) YouTube figures were accidentally omitted and resulted in her still not being number one then there is no reason to admit their "oversight". So logic dictates (as do the astounding numbers) that that wasn't the case and she indeed was number one (despite ACR) and that Amazon had some bizarre need for a non-number one to be there and the OCC must have been complicit. I will happily show you the numbers that prove this. Great that you like Shaky - he has never been robbed of a number one continually over a period of three years. Otherwise This Ol' House of Official Charts Corruption would have you makin those eyes at me and knocking down their corrupt Green Door... haha you know Invincible really was an incredibly good album - I actually think it's only second or third to Rhythm Nation (masterpiece) and possibly parts of janet. . Should've Known Better, Lessons Learned, Night... wow :)

Haha His record company were ingenious in 1984, delaying its release by a year. The calendar worked out for him and not Whitney too. Great. They also don't respond to the genuine queries they got last year about their corruption. So let them read. We might be able to teach them a few things about how the charts work and how to write good articles between us...

Turgid turd hahahahahahahaha you've just made me laugh big time. I have nothing against Last Christmas - happy for it to be number one one day if it racks up the totals their convoluted "rules" dictate it needs - but yeah it was laughable this week when they did their "compare" the two challengers "feature" where they quoted their fabricated records from the previous year. The emergency meeting I made up facetiously - but it really wouldn't surprise me. "No one leaves this building tonight until you dig up some non-entity sl@g from the Home Counties who can keep Mariah at number two!" I also don't think they want Wham! to be number one either, as it gives their pig-ignorant arse-wipe "writers" material to recycle every year to fill up space. What would they write if Mariah, Wham! and the Pogues all got to number one? They'd literally have no story any year to do their ridiculous "contenders for Christmas number one" a race that people stopped paying attention to years ago, a bit like their falsified farcical charts...

I know. My only hope is this...the chart this week has become too "public" as so many people are waiting and hoping for a Mariah number one (fans of the song, not her). It's got so much publicity so for them to try something audacious for the third year running just won't cut it - someone will notice. Hence their "emergency meeting" at Officially Rigged Charts tonight ;-) Mess Glynne haha No Sleeep - Janet reference?

Completely. What was it? 174 copies? I forget now. So many tired, transparent fixes. They are literally obsessed with having bland, colourless, pretending-not-to-be middle-class and down wit it British female artists "beat" Mariah to a post-Christmas number one. I remember saying to my brother in August, who will the next Amazon-sponsored OCC chart-fixer artist be this year to prevent her. Thank you COVID hysteria - people were so eager for some smiles and happiness that Christmas streaming started early.

LOL yep. Completely true! I am! The only positive to come out of the debacle that is streaming...even a broken clock is right twice a day... It is the UK's most popular Christmas song though. It still surprises me though, as even though it got to number two in 1994, it was laregly overlooked and unappreciated (as odd as that sounds for a number two record that sold 400,000+ on its first run in a day where sales did matter). I would happily have Wham! and the Pogues at number one two (as long as Mariah makes it first this week). Like other people have joked, even if it never charted again, at least it's got what it deserves tomorrow if it happens (which surely it should now). I understand that people will be sick and tired of it by now too.

Wow, my first troll after literally 5 minutes. She probably sold 3,000 Mariah. But at least anything she got was genuine. Might want to check out the degree of the fix last year. Look at the 5-19 fall on the video streaming charts that week and the phantom number 13 entry in that chart that didn't exist on YouTube. Also the over 4 million (MILLION) views on YouTube that were conveniently omitted. When it was questioned, nothing happened. So it wasn't an oversight. It was deliberate. River - a poor cover that will be remembered for years....ummmm.....?
  15. Andrew7435 posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
hahahahahaha it's laughable. It sold about 152 copies that week if I remember correctly (i.e. people that actually wasted money on directly buying it and were genuine buyers). The rest is Official Rigged Charts history....

0, the OCC will rig it!!!!!! (this is the last day I have to make this joke, let me make the most of it kink.gif) hahaha quite. Last year was scandalous. Where do we even begin? At least if tomorrow goes as it should, we can forget about it to a degree. OCC must be desperate at the moment. All hands-on staff meeting trying to find a way to rig it for number two again. Apologies to all for my inability to use this site yet...

Hi everyone, I've finally joined this forum this evening on All I Want For Christmas Is You eve (I hope). I've spent the last hour reading the posts on this forum and loved reading almost all of them. A lot of the comments have made me smile a lot! haha also after the OCC rigged last year's immediately-after-Christmas chart by missing off 4m Youtube views and putting a phantom AIWFCIY cover version in the video chart at 13, I'm really hopeful that tomorrow 26 years of wait will be over (I was probably the only kid in the world that listened to the whole top 40 in 1994 on Christmas Day knowing Mariah could only be number two after it had been announced on the Christmas Day TOTP). That is of course, if the OCC's emergency rigging meeting, attended by Amazon and Jess Glynne's representatives bears no fruit this evening. :) Andrew
