Love the way you lie did 7 weeks and I think just the way you are may have done 7 as well if not 6- Songs that are almost universally liked
I remember vidcapper saying that it was the only eminem song he liked, although it was probably down to dido rather than eminem- iTunes Chart: October 2011 (II)
I hope Lana Del Rey does the best, only heard the song yesterday and I think it's really good and deserves number one the most out of all of next weeks releases. The Wanted's song "lightning" is standard boyband stuff" and doesn't compare to glad you came. Kelly Clarkson's song I haven't heard in full but seemed good on first listen, so hopefully that can do well.- Ben's UK Singles Top 10 Prediction Game 2011/2

Apparently, B.o.B has released Strange Clouds in the UK today, be interesting to see where it gets to considering there is little/no hype for it. Hope it does well though, interesting change from his material on Adventures of Bobby Ray.- Ben's UK Singles Top 10 Prediction Game 2011/2

Could you say Bohemian Rhapsody, I know it did well originially in the 70's, but didn't really become massive in terms of sales until Freddie mercury's death in 1991. Also, another few songs have to be Iris, mr Brightside. Average peaks for both and both have become constantly downloaded over the years.- Ben's UK Singles Top 10 Prediction Game 2011/2

As someone who isn't really skilled in economics but is doing it for a level, I can see sort of where you're coming from, but I believe you may have phrased unintentionally in the wrong way. I think what you mean is that the song could get more sales due to it being able to appeal to a larger market. This could be because while Avril Lavigne is a well known artist who has had a few successful albums and is more current compared to Damien Rice and has been able to build a fanbase so most of the "market" that the avril lavigne song is suitable or has been marketed for will have already got it. However, with an artist like Damien Rice who had one successful era and whose songs are as you said more MOR and not as current, a song like cannonball will be able to sell more because firstly, a performance will introduce a new generation of music buyers to Cannonball. Also the fact that O was a successful and critically well received album means that people will be tempted to buy songs from it as they will be tempted to listen to and judge so-called critically great music. Also, with Damien Rice being from the so-called singer songwriter genre, more people won't know him than with avril and this means they will be able to judge the song and they will buy the song just based on the fact it's a good song and not that it is by their favourite artist.- Artists long overdue a Greatest Hits?
I heard he's doing a deluxe version, a repackaged version something similar for Euphoria which unsurprisingly features pitbull on one of the new songs  He's also doing a song with J-Lo as well which could be interesting considering their Latin backgrounds- Artists long overdue a Greatest Hits?
Don't know if he has done one but if not enrique iglesias as is due one and probably shakira at least. Maybe beyonce as well- Buzzjack Premier League Prediction Competition 2011/2012
