  1. I wonder if anything released in 2011 could challenge Bad romance, only one's I can think of are rolling in the deep, someone like you and on the floor

Never Leave You was about 7th for me, he was my favourite artist for his releases that year :) Shame he hasn't reproduced anything of similar quality to his catch 22 era
  4. I can see adele breaking into the top 10 best selling albums in the uk definitely and probably top 5, I just can't see it breaking into top 3. I just think that 21 is one of those albums that comes along at exactly the right time and there is so much hype about it, that it sells amazingly in a year. However, with the top 3, all of those artists are legendary tbh, they were highly successful and were the frontrunners of their genre at the time (e.g. Abba during the late 70's era of disco music). That sole fact enables them to shift numerous copies for years and years and years even when they haven't released any new material. While Adele is a very big artist, she isn't yet at the same stage as those 3 in terms of status, so won't be able to shift as many albums in the long run as the top 3. However, there is still the possibility that if she is once again successful with her next album ( in this climate clearing 1.25 million with the album), that 21 will be able to become a catalogue seller in the same vein as sergeant peppers lonely hearts club band is for the beatles in that it is regarded by the public as that particular artists greatest work.

I love it, it was my favourite single of 2009 :)
  6. 175k is what I think, they've got a huge lead on itunes although that lead is decreasing already which shows it's going to be heavily frontloaded. I think that potentially, it could have a similar chart run to promise this by cheryl cole although will sell around 550k tbh.
  7. Could I have my total no. of posts and position please?

That is a good point about the previous few weeks although for about a month before it, there were very few releases which for me were very poor in quality (see She makes me wanna and swagger jagger). I will agree with you that in the last few weeks it has picked up, it's just that for me in terms of the two month timescale, July and the beginning of August were unforgivably bad, so if you're wondering how I formed my opinion about it being terrible, the first half of the month has had a big influence on that.

I would agree with you, compared to the rest of the year, it has been terrible, very few new releases and most of them have been poor at best

Use Somebody deserves to be King's of Leon's million seller, it is miles better than sex on fire, although hopefully with the increased awareness of the song, it can help the song get to a million at some point in the next year or 2
  11. For me, I would like to see either or to win because they are my favourite two out of the 15 left and it would be nice to see a song which isn't necessarily buzzjack friendly to win it.

Agreed, that is a great top 10 for a decade that many people think is comfortably the worst since chart music began

I think it was also the most played song on the radio over the decade which explains it's ridiculously high position on that US end of decade chart

How You Remind Me i think ended up 4th on the billboard hot 100 end of decade charts!!!!!

I have a feeling it might make top 10 although I'm not sure when, normally rock groups usually peak on itunes the day after the release of a song, however snow patrol have climbed around 10 places since Monday, so i think with continued airplay from radio 1 where it is A-List, it's got a decent chance as there are very few high profile releases in the next few weeks (apart from One Direction And Dappy).

Seek bromance is such a tune, shame it was released in the same week as promise this, only girl in the world, the flo rida remix of higher and check it out (I'm not sure about the last two) and couldn't break into top ten :(
  17. I shocked about how few entries that certain years still have left especially 2006 and how 2005 has the second most entries left when IMO, it was one of the poorer years in this game.
  18. Arsenal vs Swansea 3-0 Everton vs Aston Villa 1-1 Man City vs Wigan 2-0 Stoke vs Liverpool 1-1 Sunderland vs Chelsea 0-2 Wolverhampton vs Tottenham 1-2 Bolton vs Man United 2-3 Norwich vs West Brom 2-1 Fulham vs Blackburn 1-0 QPR vs Newcastle 2-2

    Hence i said "pixie's no.1's" :D

Tbh, that's debatable IMO as Maroon 5 do have an album which has sold nearly 2 million and have had top 5 singles such as this love, makes me wonder and she will be loved all of which have had better longevity than either of pixies no.1's
