I loved the idea behind the challenge but I don’t think it was executed as well as it could be. It felt very stop and start not having them flow into each other like Divas Live. Jan and Trinity were the definite top 2 and while Trinity absolutely bodied her performance I think Jam slipped ahead when combined with the runway. I’m assuming she was going with a Britney’s a robot schtick for her lipsync? It wasn’t very clear but then maybe they downplayed it with all the recent Britney media coverage…who knows? Absolute delight seeing Jessica Wild back but at the same time what an odd choice? She lost her only pervious lipsync and it was hardly a stellar performance this week… Still, Jessica Wild for AS7 please! Still feels like quite an open contest at this point…I’m sure Eureka’s due a win at some point soon, Kylie as well considering they seem quite invested in her. Pandora I can see going either way but wouldn’t be shocked at a run similar to S2 in that she goes far but never wins. It’s a shame seeing Scarlet do so well but never getting the praise for doing so. Ginger on the other hand feels like such a wasted slot, how she escaped the bottom this week I’ll never know. Season 7 was her only chance at the crown imo, without the abundance of acting challenges and older vs younger storyline to fuel her she’s just a rather meh competitor.

It was an absolute joy see Laganja back, she came in with such confidence and presence, it’s a shame she won’t come back as I think she would body an All Stars! I’m not sad to see Silky go but it’s a shame how restrained and self conscious she was. A disappointing reflection on darker side of the fandom. Was nice to see Trinity win but I can’t fully root for her and I don’t know why. It’s almost like she’s too self aware maybe…

I love that there’s no obvious winner here, I honestly have no idea who could win. If Scarlet gets a fair show though I could see her pull it off and I’d be so here for it, was cut far too early back in season 11.

Damn that’s a stacked cast, should be a very exciting season hopefully!! Looking forward to see Scarlet Envy, Trinity, Kylie, Eureka and Pandora the most I think, Ra’jah too it she’s toned down the hatefulness. Serena Cha Cha is probably the most out there casting yet on an All Stars so I really hope she’s not the obvious first out, it would be disappointing not to see her growth. Always great to see more Jan but I hope she’s not a season or 2 too early, if it’s another run like season 12 it will be frustrating as she deserves to slay! Tbh I other than Pandora the re-returners are those I’m least excited for but I’m sure they will do well. Silky is a choice as well and if she agreed with her portrayal the first time around it’s gonna be a chore watching her again.

Haha fair enough I guess, I still can’t get over how small the workroom looks! I guess it is only season one but it does feel very budget compared to US/U.K./Canada. I’m assuming it’s not a big network that picked it up considering the small prize total?

Kinda of meh on it so far, it just all felt a little low budget to me, especially the workroom which looked so small and pretty fake IMO. Also was it just me or was the camera really zoomed in? It was really throwing me off at times... As for the queens no real major opinions but it does feel very cliquey already. I did feel bad for Electra as much as that wig was awful so glad she got her moment in the mini and the lipsync, hope she can step it up. Art Simone definitely should have won, both her looks were top of the night for me where as Karen’s were nothing amazing for me. Also really enjoying Etc Etc so far, would have liked to see her get some feedback on her outfits. I did really enjoy Rhys as a judge, thought he fitted in really well! I do think the panel missed a fourth person though, hopefully just a one week thing.

I just got round to watching the finale lipsyncs my god were they awful bar Symone who was passable. Should have been a quadruple sashay away and just cancel the season IMO. Also Rosé needs to hire a stylist as 90% of her outfits are awful and Kandy has to be the most lacklustre lipsync assassin ever, six wins based on those performances? She lucky Denali didn’t come along and straight up murder her ass. I get COVID played a part but they should have stuck with the format they used last year. Yes it wasn’t the most exciting but it gave 2 great, creative videos from Gigi and Crystal along with Jaida being fierce as f***. This final 4 had some potential but my god did they blow it. Also conspiracy theory, they chose a Britney finale after seeing Rosé bomb her IYSA lip sync back in episode 3. Safest way to keep her from the crown.

I couldn’t even be bothered watching the finale and I’m glad I didn’t. Kandy being runner up when there are so many more talented queens out there is just a joke! Happy for Symone though, don’t think she was my pick in the end but very deserving and worthy!

What a pointless episode...there was an obvious top three there to the extent Kandy looks amateurish next to them so it just feels absolute nonsense she’s in the finale but whatever I guess. Challenge wise I really enjoyed the music video, it felt so different to Ru songs we had before which was really refreshing. All the girls have decent verses though Gotmik and Rose were definitely my favourite in that regard. As for runways Kandy’s was good for her...anything would be an improvement on that abomination last week though. I think Symone had my favourite look this week, she looked stunning in it! It’s a shame, I feel this should be an exciting three way race for the crown but after such a long, over produced season I’m struggling to care. I don’t even know who I want to win tbh. Roll on All Stars 6, that’s all I can say.

Fully expecting Olivia to go home this week and normally I’d be happy with that outcome but it’s nonsense Kandy’s going to outlast someone else. Also surprised this isn’t the RuPaul verse challenge which I’m assuming is next week. Does that mean we’re getting a final 3? Surely they’re not actually going to have another non elimination episode.

It’s funny, I don’t think I’d have been all that mad at the time had she went home to Joe Black but f*** me if she hasn’t become one of my all time favourites. She’s just such a star and it’s so nice to see her getting all this deserved success!!

It was so uncomfortable watching Symone and Utica’s sets, especially when they started clapping back at Utica. It just took all the fun out of the episode which was a shame. I think of the two Symone did the worst, there wasn’t really anything funny about her set while Utica did at least come in strong and her asking Ru to stand was iconic and would have would have got laughs had pretty much any other queen said it. As for the lip sync it was one of my favourites of the season, both did well and though it was an obvious result I do think it was Utica’s time. Olivia Lux is just so boring to watch at this point, she’s not done anything interesting for weeks and I just don’t buy her nice act. The fact it’s basically all she talk about just makes her seem so insincere and self produced. I’d be shocked if she isn’t the next out at this point. Great episode for Rosé, she was my pic to win this week. I did agree that I found her funnier in rehearsal but I just assumed that was because the edited her set down so much, like was it just me that felt she barely got any screen time in the roast? Have loved her looks this week as well which is so nice to see after hating pretty much all her runways prior. I think she’s my pick to win now though I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen. Was a great week for Gottmik as well but I guess that’s no surprise at this point since she’s done well at most of the comedy challenges. As for Kandy I do think this is the first week she actually did well, her roast was good but not my favourite. The thing is though I’ve just got no interest in her at this point. Even in this episode they were still producing her better than she was with her longer set screen time and even just the audience reaction to her jokes, you’d think it was the funniest set they’d ever seen based on the amount of laughs she got. It’s obvious Kandy’s a lock for the top 4 at this point and tbh with the amount of Ru and producer favouritism she’s had I wouldn’t be shocked if she won the season at this point.

Plus Gottmik’s mini challenge face was somehow better than Tina Burner’s mug all season. It somehow suited her!!

The mini challenge is so good!! Definitely the best one they’ve had in ages, it was so funny. Wrong winners though but doesn’t matter much in the minis.

No massive loss in Jeffrey, he was definitely the weakest aspect of the season for me though I wouldn’t have been against him coming back for a second shot. I think it would definitely work better if they just let Brooklyn lead instead of changing it every week just for consistency but maybe they’ll be able to run it smoother, having a season under their belt, if they keep things the same. Regardless I’m excited to see Stacy and Brooklyn, the former was definitely the star of the panel and I think Brooklyn will be much more relaxed and enjoyable having done a season. Really all they need to do is sort the questionable wins/bottoms and they’re set for another fantastic season IMO!

The advert might have been nothing amazing but it was at least branded well which was the challenge. The judges could have easily gave Tina great critiques had they not decided she was going hole this week.

I feel bad for Tina, she was thrown under the bus to save Gotmik who had the clear worst advert along with Utica. It’s a shame they obviously have so little faith in Gottmik’s lipsync skills to even let her try it out but considering Utica’s turning into a surprise lipsync assassin maybe they have a point... Very deserved double win for Symone and Rosé, both adverts were so good! I think I preferred Symone’s ever so slightly though wasn’t mad on her outfit, I thought she was a horse at first. With Rosé I honestly thought they were setting her up to fall flat on her face with the edit and her concept but was so glad to be proved wrong. Also more screen time for Jan is a win!! How Kandy wasn’t crucified for that outfit was ridiculous, it’s honestly the worst thing I’ve ever seen on the runway and yet it was laughed off?! I didn’t find her commercial funny either and thought she looked awful in that too. It’s a shame as I was finally starting to warm to her during the episode but I’ll never be able to root for her when production continue to drag her through the competition. Loved the lipsync, both turned it out so well I’d have saved both had they not wasted that already. I think this is a bout the right time for Tina to leave so I’m not mad at it but similar to last week it’s a shame she was put in the bottom ahead of weaker performances. Also the really winner of that challenge was Bryce, you can’t convince me otherwise.
