It was really smart of her and her team to put IT girl in a little EP on Spotify with all the other songs she's released because Fantasy and AOMD both got a decent little bump in streaming as well!

her team really needs to drop the album pre-order by like, Monday at the latest, while IT girl still has the hype it seems to be getting right now!

does anyone remember where/if midnight cowboy entered on apple music? maybe not a super fair comparison since IT girl is definitely getting more of a push at least on social media but since they're both promo singles those are probably the metrics we should be comparing it to? edit; i also just bought both versions and the music video on iTunes US, which with the way iTunes is these days means it should go top 10 any minute :cheer:

I wonder if the playlisting so far was helped by pre-saves as well? I feel like the promo for this one was done pretty well, plus it looks like the fans reached out to a bunch of other artists' fan accounts and had them make edits with the snippet!

someone really needs to make a slutty tiktok dance for this so the girls and the gays can do their little hip isolations and shake their asses so it'll go viral

she always seems to do surprisingly well on Apple Music, I really wish they'd release their streaming numbers publicly!

spotify is showing this at 13k streams for the partial day! i liked the video, i wouldn't have minded if they started hinting at the climax a little sooner but overall i think it's a cute video!

oop, BBC accidentally posted perrie's live lounge today before deleting it, i think she'll sound lovely covering the song she ended up choosing!

i think people will probably think I'm crazy but the production and instrumental actually reminds me of a more pop-forward version of the 1975's second album. very disco but feels a bit fresher than some of the other disco-inspired tracks we've gotten over the last few years!

the production on this is sooooo euphoric!

if you liked the snippets then you'll definitely like the song, they're pretty representative of the whole thing! i like it, it's a bop! easy 3/3 for me!

I agree that generic faceless pop just doesn't hit the same way anymore. I feel for Perrie because I don't think anything she's released is bad by any means, but with TikTok and how short everyone's attention spans are now, you really have to be making something that feels exciting and that's the biggest thing that Perrie is lacking. Perrie is so charismatic in interviews but that isn't translating into her music.
