The Socialist Republic of Zlatzima (Macedonian: Социјалистичка Република Златнатазима, Turkish: Sosyalist Cumhuriyet Altınkış) is a country located on the Eastern part of the Twin Continent. Zlatnazima's capital is Pravovat.
The name Zlatnazima is derived from the Macedonian "Golden Winter" and describes the inland's long heavy winters. This in contrast with the climate of its southern island and coasts. Inland scenery is mountainous. With the population of 30,866,297 (census 2010) overpopulation is a big problem. Most of this population lives near the South, causing the government to create more jobs in the North attracting the population to spread out.
The first sign of Zlatzima's existence dates from 1247 when nomad tribes went into resistance against the civilians of its neighbouring countries. Independence from these nations was achieved in 1520 as a response to the creation of the title "Tsar of Pravo" (previous name of Pravovat).
The first Tsar of the country went under the name of Gorgi Raishakov. The family ruled Zlatzima until 1783. The first President was Ilija Stefanov. When the government was first created the country's crime level increased drastically, causing civil disturbance until the state was declared a Kingdom in 1953. Igor Traikov, the President, took the position of 1st Prime Minister.
The Royal family is closely related to the Raishakovs. Prince Evgenij Solakov was crowned on March 21, 1953. He was succeeded by his son Prince Filip after his assassination on June 1, 1957. After the doctors found Parkinson's disease in 1970 he was replaced by his sister Princess Irina. She took distance from the thrown in 1985 after the position of the Kingdom was being threatened by Socialist extremists. Her son King Ljupcho, against her wishes, was crowned on December 12, 1985. On April 20, 1986 he was kidnapped, together with 5 prominent faces of the government. The family fled to Quilvoria, after national media reported they were murdered.
A Socialist Republic was born on April 28, 1986. Ljudmil Uzunov, a Socialist extremist re-instated the Republic. When he resigned in 1993 he gave his position to Luka Vidimce who remains the President til date. Zlatnazima will hold its first election in 61 years on the 16th of March 2011. It is however expected Luka Vidimce will be re-elected by the public.
The country's export position is heavily influenced by its industrial performance, which mainly includes electronics. The Zlatzi supermarket chain "Evtin" has stores in most of the Twin Continent. Unlike the title of the nation suggests, the country is very open-minded, especially in the South, making it a very attractive holiday destination.
National television (РTЗ1) has confirmed interest in taking part in the BJUSC, in which it plans to participate from May 2011.
