Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin
Hahaha, do whatever you want. Ban me, I don't care, because you are ridiculous in this stance, and there are people to be called out about judging women's bodies, and it's not Meghan Trainor for her harmless song. Aim your offense to people who actually deserve it. Peace.

Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin
Yep, thin people face absolutely no disadvantage for their weight. When you say to someone "you look thin" that's a compliment. On the other hand: "you look fat" is a very often used insult, aiming to ridicule and bring people down. There is no such thing as thin-shaming. And I cannot think of why people would say that, unless for the reasons I mentioned. *shrug* But to be honest, whether calling someone thin or fat, it's all about judging women appearances, which is the deeper issue in this inherently sexist society.

Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin
LOL @ thin shaming. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard on this forum. I'm saying this as a quite skinny bitch. It's very clear from the lyrics that it's said in jest (even she explains it in an interview she is talking about her friends who aren't actually fat, but they keep saying they are). I would say people who are crying "thin-shaming" are on the same level as men's rights activist, people calling for straight pride parades, and "why isn't there a white history month??" Look at yourselves. I know it's hard to stomach a successful young lady, who doesn't fit the beauty standards and not afraid to talk about it, but try. Slay, Meghan! This is a bop too. :D

Blame (feat. John Newman) • Third Single
This thread is delightfully bitchy. Also, my prediction is that this will be just as generic and soulless as any post-WFL Calvin Harris song.

"Boom Boom Pow" aged so so badly. I mean it was already aged in 2009 ("You so 2000 and late...")

But it's a different version of the song on the album. So, some people who love it probably want the album version too, no?

Please name some female-vocal symphony/opera-metal bands
The most well known bands were probably mentioned, but here are some lesser known but still amazing femme metal bands: Autumn wWXY3-FsRyI After Forever (this song features Sharon from Within Temptation) KE8FyKIJFwQ Elis (warning: German language!) GY_NINTZXkg Leaves' Eyes crW0oe78ZB0 Lumsk (in Norwegian language only) dCFfuq_1iJA Lunatica 8fvF7PE1zrM Mortal Love As986ld3fpw Vanguard W3hYLHy7hSk I have many more, but these are the ones I could think of being closer to Within Temptation. Of course if you want heavier stuff with fame vocals then definitely check out Amaran, Tristania, Sirenia, ReVamp, Epica. Or my favourites: The 3rd and the Mortal, The Gathering. :)

I agree. It's a boring, by the numbers white-chick-with-piano cover. At least Birdy could bring a little personality into her covers. Also, hi. :)

US iTunes Top 100 [MAR-JUN 2012]
I'm blinded by the maturity. I think if you call Gotye a Belgian-born Australian then Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born American surely? They both moved into Australia and USA respectively when they were little. Still, that's a very Unamerican top 10!

iTunes Chart: Weekly Thread W/C 8th April 2012
And it happens all the time too. Who remembers the "death to disco" movement in the 80s during the big disco era? It's not as extreme, but maybe because there is no real alternative right now. In this world of instant gratification and very short attention span, most people would rather listen to brainless club songs, than search for subtleties and meanings in songs that are harder to digest. No wonder people rather buy singles than albums too. Whatever, off topic. Blue Jeans is closing in on the top 50. It really should be the highest charting of Lana's songs, it's clearly the best.

I didn't say it was similar. I said it's no better. Not really my kinda music, obviously. ;) I have to agree with Eric, it seems like that club bangers are going out of fashion, I guess LMFAO's popularity was the last nail in its coffin. :P But who knows? Maybe when Kesha comes back it will start all over again? It kind started with Gaga and her anyway. God knows I love that trashy bitch, but I hope not. :D

 It's about partying, getting high/drunk and meeting someone. Dime a dozen of these, imo. I guess I just expected something else after all the hype. :)

iTunes Chart: Weekly Thread W/C 8th April 2012
Yeah, I remember it being a blip on my radar when it reached the top 30 on Billboard, but then disappeared without making a bigger dent... Didn!t think it would bother the top 40, let alone get dangerously close to the top 10 on iTunes. Also, can someone explain this fun. thing to me? It's your regular party song, only in Fall Out Boy style... the only redeeming thing about it would be Janelle Monáe, if you could, you know ACTUALLY HEAR HER over the la la la. To me it's no better than a Ke$ha or Pitbull.

You should definitely listen to No Angel. It's a bit bleaker than Life For Rent, but very very good.

Oh well, off with you then. Haha. (Is perfectness even a word? Should've used perfection... sorry, esl and all) I was the same with N'Synch, they just never excited me... but it could be I was conditioned as a BSB fan. Ah, good times good times, thankfully the internet wasn't around that time I would have embarrassed myself.
