iTunes Chart: Weekly Thread W/C 8th April 2012
No, I mean as a catchphrase people use here, and argue about when to use it, and put it on songs that don't fit. ;)

Is "frontloaded" going to become the new "non-number 1"?

I'm sorry, but Chris Brown having a #1 is infinitely worse than Justin Bieber. I haven't listened to Boyfriend yet but it surely cannot be worse than that aural diarrhoea Brown come up with...

Top 200 Best Selling Boy Band/ Girl Group Singles 88-04
Ah, therein lies our difference, because lyrics need to be really bad to ruin a song for me. Surrender is one of my all time favourite songs, sensual without being in your face about its sexuality. They succeeded in creating the mood with the song they set out to. Dodgy lyrics? Probably. But in this case I'm not bothered. It's been such a long time since I properly thought and had discussion about All Saints, never thought this would be the first topic I would engage in after deciding to start posting :D From the debut I would say I absolutely love: Never Ever, Bootie Call, If You Want To Party (shut up :P), definitely Heaven  and War of Nerves. Could never get into Take the Key and Alone. :( Bootie Call was such a revelation for my 14 yo self (you could tell I was pretty sheltered) it will forever hold a special place in my...heart, hehe.

US Billboard Hot 100 - 04/14/2012
Nah. Would a song like Midnight City by M83 even chart were it not for streaming? Radio certainly wouldn't play it... I think streaming points will definitely help alternative and indie artists who are rarely given chance to "collect points" on radio audience impressions.

Well yes, objectively speaking their debut is a better album, more cohesive and, as you said, classy, both a solid 9/10 albums for me, but personally the highs of S&S (Dreams, Pure Shores, Surrender) are better than the highs of AS. Plenty of great memories attached to those. And even though the lows are worse (the two Melanie penned tracks stick out like sore thumbs...) I'm more fond of Saints&Sinners.

This new hot 100 with the streaming is a mess. But I like that it takes away a bit of power from the radio stations. Aw, I wanted Rolling in the Deep to beat Jason Mraz' record. :(

When will 21 sell 5 million copies in the UK?
The topic wasn't "does 21 deserves selling 5 million?" last time I checked. And do people really need to bring this up everytime a new topic on Adele's sales is posted? It's annoying.

You are my new best friend. (Although I find Saints & Sinners superior)

When will 21 sell 5 million copies in the UK?
Why is it when talking about Adele's UK sales, some people post things like this? This thread is not about quality, sales usually aren't, let's be real. The news isn't "Adele is about to become a better album than Thriller"... I don't think Adele wanted to change the world, the face of pop music with this record. It's a simple, accessible, flawlessly produced album by someone who can actually sing and write, and people -every age- can relate to. And it's selling like crazy. I find it fascinating to watch. It long ago overtook my favourite albums, and I don't really care, because I enjoy 21's success purely on the chart nerd level. :P So yeah, comments like this above are absolutely useless and bring nothing to the topic at hand. Also, it will definitely reach 5 million copies, but probably not in the near future. Although who knows? I sure did think it would be well out of the top 10 by now.

Unmemorable #1s
This song is anything but unmemorable. Maybe people just forget it reached number one because it was so different? A song truly ahead of its time.

Poll : Predict Justin Bieber - Boyfriend
I say top 10, #5 or #6 imo. I'd want #1 because I find the irrational Bieber hatred from people who think are so above him too funny (and sad tbh).
