  1. Well yes, objectively speaking their debut is a better album, more cohesive and, as you said, classy, both a solid 9/10 albums for me, but personally the highs of S&S (Dreams, Pure Shores, Surrender) are better than the highs of AS. Plenty of great memories attached to those. And even though the lows are worse (the two Melanie penned tracks stick out like sore thumbs...) I'm more fond of Saints&Sinners.
  2. This new hot 100 with the streaming is a mess. But I like that it takes away a bit of power from the radio stations. Aw, I wanted Rolling in the Deep to beat Jason Mraz' record. :(
  3. http://i40.tinypic.com/33v1d3c.jpg I own this. I'm not even ashamed. Although I only listened to it once and never again.
  4. The topic wasn't "does 21 deserves selling 5 million?" last time I checked. And do people really need to bring this up everytime a new topic on Adele's sales is posted? It's annoying.
  5. You are my new best friend. (Although I find Saints & Sinners superior)
  6. Why is it when talking about Adele's UK sales, some people post things like this? This thread is not about quality, sales usually aren't, let's be real. The news isn't "Adele is about to become a better album than Thriller"... I don't think Adele wanted to change the world, the face of pop music with this record. It's a simple, accessible, flawlessly produced album by someone who can actually sing and write, and people -every age- can relate to. And it's selling like crazy. I find it fascinating to watch. It long ago overtook my favourite albums, and I don't really care, because I enjoy 21's success purely on the chart nerd level. :P So yeah, comments like this above are absolutely useless and bring nothing to the topic at hand. Also, it will definitely reach 5 million copies, but probably not in the near future. Although who knows? I sure did think it would be well out of the top 10 by now.

This song is anything but unmemorable. Maybe people just forget it reached number one because it was so different? A song truly ahead of its time.
  8. I say top 10, #5 or #6 imo. I'd want #1 because I find the irrational Bieber hatred from people who think are so above him too funny (and sad tbh).
