Ed Sheeran and Taylor haters are not going to be happy to hear how prominently their duet features in her new documentary. Would expect to see big uplifts over the weekend for Everything Has Changed.

It's not too surprising. She's only had one Top 20 hit there in the past decade and they likely don't have the same Amazon promotion. A Christmas song was always going to be a hard sell. It's unlikely she'd be charting in the UK if not for Amazon.

It’s odd how Hold My Hand’s success on TikTok didn’t really lead to a major increase in streams on Spotify, etc. I barely recall seeing it on the daily charts.

As it’s a live album I imagine its sales would be very fan-driven and heavily drop off as the week progresses. Unless there’s some physical formats still to ship?

I really don’t think a music video is going to make much of a difference to Opalite’s chart performance, unless the song has a new single version or feature.

Very quiet week for releases, the music industry really goes into hibernation until January to avoid the Xmas songs.

I think the most impressive thing is how much bigger her second album era was than her debut. There are so few British female artists who maintain success, never mind having a bigger sophomore era. Adele is probably the only other one I can think of. Lily could so easily have ended up in a similar trajectory to the likes of Jessie J, Emeli Sande, Duffy, etc.

I think it was more a US chart thing as she currently has identical chart points to Golden in their unofficial midweeks.

I believe it's a US chart play to boost her numbers to break Adele's record. There is some rule that a certain number of digital variants are allowed hence them releasing mid-week.

How does that compare to the last album globally?

It's just a bit of fun and not that deep. I've been on the forum for nearly 20 years, it's just interesting to see people's reactions.

Bracing myself for the Buzzjack circle of a big popstar release. 1) A huge day 1 that's branded an underperformance regardless of whether it's good or bad 2) A day 2 drop off followed by cries of flop, no matter how the album holds 3) Certain users who complain that they're so bored of the stagnant charts then complaining when Taylor gets 3 songs in the official Top 10. It's an exciting time!

I can't imagine she even still has much of a team outside of her makeup and beauty brands. Music is sadly not a focus for Rihanna anymore.

It’s just outside the Top 20 in the midweeks. Considering her recent commercial performance this is a pretty decent comeback from a chart perspective. Shame the material and her persona still remain dire.

That's a great number for Jade, #2 suddenly doesn't feel out of the question. Shame her label screwed her by picking such a stupid week to release.

If Jade hits 20k by the end of the week and (hopefully) charts at #3, will that be the highest selling #3 position of the year? It's quite frustrating her label chose such a competitive week to release when the album has been ready for quite some time now, given it leaked at the start of the year.

Mimi Webb's falloff has been insane. She had a pretty successful debut era, scored a few hits, and now is majorly struggling. It's strange as the material has been largely solid and not too different from the last album.

She McAte at the VMAs and is getting a lot of hype online e.g. Billboard calling it the best performance of the night.

All this talk about Spotify's streaming numbers makes it more surprising that other streamers don't reveal their data. It seems like a really easy way to get people thinking about your service.
