It's called 'Ocean'. No release date yet as far as I know but presume it will be out in the next couple of months.

Sonny Fodera
Mind Still is far better than either of his songs to make the top 40, so it probably won't. :(

Nelly Furtado, Tove Lo & SG Lewis - Love Bites
From the previous this sounds like a BOP and I am gagging for it to be a hit!

This is 100% foreshadowing for her 2024 comeback hit "I'm Back Bitches". It will break Spotify. Heard it here first. ;)

I expect the next Calvin Harris track to be a big hit, although that does have an American feature in Miley. The Central Cee thing will likely be the next UK rap thing to make a significant impact on the charts, but also a collab with an American artist. I'm just sat here patiently waiting for the British indie revival.

Round 1 : Year End Survivor No.87
Literally. They’re not exactly my favourites from the scene at the time but they seem really deeply hated on Buzzjack for some reason lol. I guess She’s So Lovely got quite annoying being on that advert all the time but This Ain’t A Love Song was a good tune.

Buzzjack's Favourite Group
Would probably be enough to get it into the sales only chart these days tbf.

Use of AI in Movies
Similar thoughts to Chez here. I can certainly see in the near future that AI will be used to 'assist' in various stages of the filmaking process and this will slowly creep in until it becomes normalised. In terms of AI scripting an entire feature film, let alone producing it, not likely imo. Firstly, unless there's a rapid growth in the capabilities of AI, the result would be horseshit. I'm sure it won't be too long until we have an AI bot that is technically capable of generating a multi-format response with moving video combined with audio, animation etc... but it will be spitting out Wonka Experience results. Even if it's capabilities did grow to such dizzying heights in the near future, to be able to produce polished and sensible feature films, I don't think the vast majority of the public or industry would support it. There would be a notable court case used to set a precedent fairly swiftly, things like using the likeness of actors without their explicit consent would be formally banned.

Buzzjack Presents... 2006
God that "downloads can count but only a week before the physical release" rule was so dumb in retrospect. Anyway looking forward to seeing what is compiled for 2006. A very strong year for indie/alternative music but also lots of big pop, dance and R&B records too so a great mix of stuff really. Also prime nostalgia time for me. My bible for the year at the time was Now 64 which I played to death on CD.

Number 3 Listening Sessions - Week 14 Poll
Despite feeling like quite a hit and miss session I voted for quite a lot in the best in the end. Fatboy Slim, Stereophonics, Bryan Adams/Mel C, Chemical Brothers, Santana, Richard Ashcroft & Bon Jovi. Just Celine Dion/R Kelly for the worst. Nearly added Boyzone and A1, but that one felt a cut above the others in the lowlight stakes.

I think it’ll end up being a #2 for Billie sadly but that’s still mighty impressive of course and will likely be on sales that could have been #1 at a less competitive time.

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
It's the one i've been going back to the most today. The build really is incredible.

Tommy Richman - MILLION DOLLAR BABY
Can't deny this is a right earworm, can see why it's doing so well.
-
Central Cee & Lil Baby - BAND4BAND
I've listened to that three times now and I seriously can't make out a single word. I suppose it will inevitably be a top 10 hit. *sigh*

Slight Return is a great record from the Bluetones. On the other hand thank god for Babylon Zoo keeping that 3T horror off the top.

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
Agree with the praise for the album. Lunch is a bop and is a strong choice for focus track but my favourite on first listen is L'amour De Ma Vie.
