  1. The music video definitely helps it. Catchy song and great chemistry between them
  2. I do feel like wonderland was meant for a Xmas release, but they didn’t have it ready in time. I remember they started selling tickets for the tour in November and used a snippet of the wonderland title track. Sales wise, the time of year definitely hurt them.
  3. It’s definitely the best song I’ve heard so far, but it’s only 2.30 mins (ish) and has a strange middle eight section. Almost like it doesn’t belong in the same song. Not sure the sentiment of the song really fits into the theme either. He’s performing it on the Xmas day strictly special. Hope he gets more opportunities to promote the album this week. Not sure many people realise it’s coming out at all. Hope it doesn’t end up missing the top 10
  4. So it looks like TT will be a 3 moving forward…
  5. GARY BARLOW has revealed Take That will return in 2023 – and hit the road for a series of live dates. The currently solo singer says: “I am desperate to get back into the band. “By the time Christmas comes, it will be the end of a big chapter for me. I’ll have toured two albums and it’ll be the end of this solo chapter for me and I’ll be getting ready for the next wave of Take That.” “We’ll have a nice planning year in 2022. I don’t think we’ll release anything or tour but the following year, 2023, will be a big year for Take That.” Despite his excitement, Gary concedes with some sadness he has been unable to persuade bandmate Jason Orange to return. Jason, 51, went off radar in 2014 when he stepped back from the band for good, along with Robbie Williams. While Robbie has returned at points, joining the band on stage on The X Factor when he was a judge in 2018 and performing alongside them during a virtual gig in May last year, Jason has cut ties with the group. At the time Jason said he was quitting because he felt his time in the group had come to an end, and he stepped out of the spotlight completely. Gary said this year he believed Take That could return as a five-piece. But Jason now lives a quiet life in the Cotswolds and Gary admits all efforts to get him back on board have failed. So the comeback will feature just Gary, Mark Owen, 49, and Howard Donald, 53. Gary says: “Jason isn’t coming back. Take That is Mark, Howard and me for the next few years. "When we’re out there, it feels right. Our audience supports us and we always feel strong.”
  6. The songs so far have been disappointing, but I’m looking forward to the new song with Sheridan Smith. Fingers crossed that it’s the single he needs to sell the album
  7. Duet with Sheridan Smith is released on Wednesday
  8. Surprised that he hasn’t done any promo for this or released a big lead single
  9. I think the Xmas album may be my least, based on what I’ve heard so far. Which is a real shame. I think it’s going to struggle sales wise.
  10. Feel like it’s too far away. It didn’t really have a proper second single and the release and promo felt mismanaged.
  11. Update (Nov 2021): Beautiful World (2,913,906) Wonderland: (234,926) Odyssey: (395,698)
  12. Gary Barlow has hinted at what is next for Take That following the trio's extended hiatus. The 50-year-old singer-songwriter releases his first festive album, The Dream Of Christmas, via Polydor on November 26, which follows his chart-topping 2020 solo LP Music Played By Humans (105,051 sales, OCC). The trio - Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen - have been on hiatus since 2019’s 30th anniversary Odyssey Live Greatest Hits tour, but speaking in the latest issue of Music Week, Barlow said it was only a matter of time before they regroup. “We haven't started anything yet, but I think we will in the next year," said Barlow, who stars on the cover of this month's print magazine. "And it will be fresh, it will be new and it will be special - it has to be. Whenever it's Take That, it has to be absolutely undeniably right for us as a group of people. “When we did the Greatest Hits, I think it was possibly a bigger line in the sand than we thought it was going to be. We did a lot of shows that year and it felt like a celebration. It was like a lap of honour, going on the road and playing all that music, it was great. "There were definitely a few moments in that last week where we were packing our bags and saying goodbye to each other and it was like, ‘Wow, it's the end of a moment for us, a big 30 years.’ But I'm now getting excited for what's next." https://www.musicweek.com/talent/read/gary-...ake-that/084633
  13. Update (Nov 2021): Gary: Music Played by Humans (105,051) Take That: Beautiful World (2,913,906) Wonderland: (234,926) Odyssey: (395,698)
  14. 300k, I think.
  15. Do we know what this show will actually be about? Is it like X factor in the BGT format?
  16. Sorry for the delay here! Couldn’t find my password!! Great to see you all. I’m really not sure about this Xmas album…I’m pinning my hopes on the duet with Sheridan Smith to be the Xmas belter that will sell this record. Right now, the songs are slow and very b-side standard. This duet will be the defining moment for this era. If it falls flat, there’s probably nothing else that can redeem it. That said, hopefully it can still make top 5
  17. I’d rather a BW style. Really hope he goes back to those soaring ballads like RTW and Patience
  18. Would love them to start putting the recordings on Spotify / iTunes
  19. Think the plan is to have it become a 6 part series or a set of specials, if they get the backing from bbc. Love post Malone too! And James Bay is just superb
  20. Great show tonight! Hope there’s more to come!
  21. It’s a brand new album apparently, which is super surprising. We don’t get albums regularly!!
  22. Gary just announced on his Instagram live that he’s releasing a new solo record this Xmas! He said last Xmas he came up with a song that surprised him. He played it to a few people and they agreed they should build a record around it. Exciting news!! Incidentally the MPBH tour has now been renamed “All the Hits” and will have a mixture of the new album, MPBY and the old stuff Hoping he goes back to SISYL/BW style this time around
