Take That - General Chart Topic
Very interesting! Didn't realise Love Love would be so high. Thought Happy Now would have been higher (the comic relief effect)

Gary Barlow - Since I Saw You Last
Sad news that Gurrumul, the indigenous Australian singer that Gary recorded as part of 'Sing', has died at the age of 46. RIP Gurrumul.

One final single per album
Great topic! Ok...after much deliberation... TT and Party: How Can It Be - I just love this song. It's one of those that just builds and builds. Would love to hear Gary sing it now. Maybe the next tour seeing how well satisfied was received. Everything Changes: Wasting My Time - Love the vibe, some great high notes and a real good sing along. Nobody Else: Holding Back the Tears - For me, this is one of the standout moments on the album. Overshadowed by the Giants (no pun!) that are Never Forget and Back For Good; this song has some of the best lyrics Gary has written in my opinion. Stirring, emotive, powerful...a shame this wasn't released. Beautiful World: Like I Never Loved You At All - This is my favourite album, so I could give a reason for every song to be a single! This just pips What You Believe In...just! Circus: Hold Up A Light - Why this wasn't released as the second single I just don't know. One of my favourites from TT and one that I felt had massive potential to be a chart success like Shine if it had been released before Xmas. I could see it being one of those songs that experience a rebirth as a Xmas song! It's also amazing on tour and one that the crowd always go crazy for. Progress: Eight Letters - Fairly easy choice for me here, a perfect song. Poignant lyrics and a beautiful way to close the album, the tour and the era. III: Believe - Mark sounds fantastic on this. One of the standouts from the album. Strange that it didn't make the standard version. Wonderland: Lucky Stars - Love the vibe of this track. Falsetto from all three of them sounds great. A real alternate sound that I think radio would have run with. I'm sure a lot of people would have been pleasantly surprised when hearing it was a TT song

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
Zero sustained promo...I'm hoping we get a deluxe version at Xmas with the DVD to get us to platinum at least

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
In fairness, 200k isn't too bad in today's climate outside of a key selling period...but yeah, when you think about BW, Circus and Progress...and even Three, Wonderland has really struggled to capture the imagination of fans. The whole era felt rushed to me. However, a number 2 album and another top 15 single are welcome additions to the discography. Question is, where do they go from here?

Gary Barlow - Since I Saw You Last
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this album again today. Gets me excited for a new Gary album this year hopefully!

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
I still find it weird that this whole album/tour cycle has lasted literally 4 months. Why was it so rushed?

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
I was at the concert on saturday and it was absolutely fantastic! I was with a couple of people who were on the fence about Take That but came away raving about them and the show! The Flood and Giants in particular were spectacular!

One Love Manchester

Manchester Benefit Concert
I'm hearing Giants will be the second song they sing. The lyrics and the meaning will resonate well

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
I think the 4 year break was too long to wait for III, that in my mind contributed to people losing interest (especially as it was seen by some as the end of the story) Wonderland wise, if they released in December, I think we'd be looking at similar figures to III

Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
Interesting video!
-
Take That - Wonderland - 24 March, 2017
Pretty stark isn't it. However, I'm pretty sure that it would have sold about the same as III if it was released at xmas. Poor decision yet again by the management/label that meant they missed out on sales and the number 1 spot The video for New Day out tomorrow!
