  1. Firstly, I don't like Robbie's new song at all...and if the single is called Party Like a Russian, I wonder whether he's going down the same path as Rudebox. I agree with the Q4 comments, TT and the label know that's the time to strike to ensure they maximise sales. I imagine Gary is probably working on some musical stuff, or maybe doing some programming or last minute harmonies. The album was nearly written in March according to the guys, so if anything it's adding finishing touches (maybe to the single mix). XF wise, they need a slot. I think they'll get one, ITV are the boss, not Simon. They know TT will draw an audience, so I have no doubt they'll be there. I just hope they release to radio but stay away from on air/on sale. I agree that 6 weeks should be enough to drive preorders and hopefully streams. Top 10 should still be a target.
  2. Very true with the comment on Robbie, although, his single sounds very marmite on first listen.
  3. Can't wait! Much better than having to wait 4 years!
  4. It occurred to me today that it's nearly that time when we should be expecting to hear the first spin of the new single...is it usually last week in Sept/ first week of October?
  5. Oh really? 2018 would be a weird time, considering the 25th anniversary
  6. I imagine they'll do their Vegas stint after their tour next year
  7. Rumour is that the show will be broken up into 3 stages, with a new judge sitting next to Gary, Danni and Martin for each stage. The actress from Glee is judge for the first stage. Interesting and should keep things fresh
  8. Yep, studio album this year, Greatest Hits next year. Tour next summer.
  9. You're welcome! They both come across really well in the interviews I think. I'm hoping we hear a couple more songs soon, but I would be surprised if Gary didn't promote it during Let It Shine
  10. Thought we could do with a separate area for this! As most are aware, The Girls, written by Gary and Tim Firth, and based on The Calendar Girls hits the West End on the 28th January 2017. Tickets have gone on sale (initially) today, with Gary and Tim out and about promoting it. Links to the One Show and Radion2 below: http://fb.me/1qhac5n3L http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04835m7
  11. Could you imagine! B sides and Gary solo songs, if only! I hope the boys turn up as guest judges too from time to time. In terms of the David Walliams factor, I hope Graham Norton can provide a bit of that charm!
  12. Yeah agreed, Dylan, very much see this going like an 'Any Dream Will Do'/'SuperStar' show. Interesting that the show itself will be called 'The Band'
  13. She was good on XF and has a decent amount of experience in productions. I reckon she's a good choice. Interesting to see who the other two judges will be. Filming starts next week so we won't have long to wait... https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/17777...w-let-it-shine/
  14. I heard the same thing! He would be excellent! I would imagine they'll keep Laura Kelly as the female lead, she's fantastic
  15. Looks like Gary will have a former XF judge taking a spot on the panel! It'll be announced tonight. I reckon it's Danni Minogue...
  16. I personally think the panel of Gary, Kelly, Tulisa and Louis was the best. The year they found Little Mix.
  17. It was even worse last night...
  18. I find the song choices all very similar...you never seem to see someone taking a classic and smashing it. It's more same old, same old. The winner single was awful. Reggie and Bollie couldn't even sing it! Would be interesting if the single was a feature; so if you win your winner single features Little Mix or something. Streaming has killed XF winners automatically getting #1 now, so something like that could help
  19. Yeah, I'm the same, I prefer the live shows over these protracted slow burning auditions
  20. It's probably one of my favourite songs! Always look forward to hearing it
  21. Not too keen unfortunately...hopefully the rest will be good
  22. Do we know if Love Yourself will be released with this?
  23. First time I heard These Days I was delighted. I really wanted an upbeat, radio friendly song and they delivered. The next lead single will find it hard to replicate the airtime and charting. With the streaming fiasco in full force, I doubt it'll make top 30 if it's not handled properly (especially seeing as TT traditionally don't climb after the first week)
  24. I never understood why it wasn't the follow up. Had Mark on lead, festive, catchy and has been used in every live show since Circus...
