Yeah I think it’s definitely going to be a swing song, he’s performed a lot of swing sets and swing versions of old songs over the last few years. So direction wise, I think he has a clear road here and I’m looking forward to hearing what he’s got, I’m sure there’s some ballads on it too - he did mention how he understood fans do like the ballads they do and that there hasn’t been too many of them in recent material

In the old days before the reliance on streaming this could possibly be a number 1 hit with an organised release and 3 or 4 promotional performances. Is it just the video drop that has boosted it? Is it getting airplay?

Yeah, I guess he’s got to find a lane that doesn’t trend to into TT territory. That said, it wouldn’t have surprised me if TT went down this road, rather than Gary. SISYL also outsold Wonderland too. Why did Wonderland get delayed until the May again? It was very strange

It would really need a big platform...an X Factor style, but apparently he has a show coming out early December to support the album

The singles chart has been a mess since they made streaming dominate a traditional sale. How a song that has spent nearly a week in the top 20 can’t chart officially in the top 100 is a disgrace

1 Forever Love 2 Let Me Go 3 Elita 4 Sing 5 Stronger I think Love Won’t Wait was a good second single and importantly it was upbeat. I actually think the singles from Open Road now considering it were all the “right” order. With Twelve Months, I’m not sure there was a lead single. Maybe he could have gone with something like Wondering? Stronger to me felt too much like an attempt to be George Michael.
