    Strikes lead to a name change.

     

    Eledan are announcing the name change! The first string of strikes, called as "Bring our roots back" ("Dratte yutter ёbratn") happening within the country couldn't help but make the officials noticing how people in the country want to bring the nation back, even if such a small change, like a country name change, is needed.

     

    "Elёdan is now populated by over 30% of citizens from other countries. The politics outside the country seem to be aimed for the rapid development and globalization which don't have a place for a country itself to develop, at the same time without losing our National Values. Many places of historical importance, beautiful sceneries are now demolished by technological innovations. There're only about 28% of people who speak Elёdaniis (Eledanese) reamining in the country. Don't forget about us." - says the leader of the EUP (Eledanese United Party).

     

    Since now the country is called "Elёdan". The change was made due to simular pronounciation in Elёdan's official language, the stress goes to "ё" when pronouncing, "yo" - this is how it should be pronounced.

     

    Oh the shock, such a big change :drama: :heehee:

     

    Actually, I always pronounced it like `Éledan´ :lol:

    Belanova starts like a good rocksong but then after a while I loose interest ? Fey's song is kinda addictive with the lalalalalalala repeating all the time :lol:

     

    I suppose Belanova is more excentric, different so maybe you make a better chance in the contest with her.

    It's hard Mayte :lol: In the end it's up to you which you like best.

     

    Yeaah, :lol: I think I´ll have Belanova for this contest, there´s an english version of Lentamente, so I might use it for the next contest, great innit? :kink:

    She reminds me a bit of Kylie

    I agree with Sparkle, Fey reminds me of Kylie Minogue, too.....and Laura Pausini kinda reminds me of Madonna.....

    I'm with Sparkle, I prefer Fey's song out of the 4, Mayte.... :)

    I have a feeling the last song ( Alex Ubago ) has great heartbreaking lyrics but as you already guessed...............I might not understand them completely :( :lol:

    Well, Laura is definitely not my thing, Alex´s song is nice, but male singers don´t do well there, so its between Fey and Belanova, I was seriously considering Belanova´s song, but I see Fey´s new song sounds good too

     

    So if the Belanova link didn´t work right, could you listen it again and tell me what you think about it? ;)

    They said on the news that the type of Influenza that we have known forever is worse. That's why I don't understand why they keep trying to scare people. I'm not saying it's not an issue because it is, but I think they need to ease up on the coverage. It's all over the news, internet, TV (I can't even watch TV without seeing it) What else can they possibly say about it that hasn't been said? Okay, rant over. :P

    Hey how are you Lewis? :D Oh that Pavel must be all depressed because he has no more chances to change his screen name and he misspelt the name of a song. :rofl: He should be back when he remembers where his head is. :P

     

    Oh, and no, it´s okay actually, ^_^ well, at least in my city was never nothing to worry about, we´re all coming back to normal classes tomorrow, which am very happy about, otherwise I would have had to take extra classes to recover, and that´s a no no, will you be agree :cry: :lol:

    According to a report in Billboard Magazine, The Killers will be releasing their first live DVD later this year.

     

     

    "We're working on some ideas for what will be our first DVD," drummer Ronnie Vannucci says. "We've been kind of hounded about it for a while, and haven't really thought we were due for it yet, but I think it's time. I think we're approaching the moment of DVD mass hysteria."

     

    But there's more. Vannucci reveals there have been internal discussion about the release of a full-length cover album. Songs already recorded include Bright Eyes cover "Four Winds (U.K. B-side for "Spaceman"), as well as a Cyndi Lauper tune and a version of Murray Head's "One Night in Bangkok." Regarding the latter track, Vannucci says the band "messed around" and recorded it with Louis XIV.

     

     

    The drummer also talks about the group's third single, which will differ country by country. "That's the weird phenomenon about this [third] album. We're realizing that other counties are picking their own singles. So in America, the next single will be 'A Dustland Fairytale,' but in the U.K., Europe and Australia, it's 'The World We Live In.' But Australia is also playing 'Losing Touch.' Spain is hip to 'I Can't Stay,' which isn't really a surprise. At first when we played it over here it was a little bit like head scratching. But who knows, it could all of a sudden turn around. 'Bones' was like that."
