Worst Christmas TOTP ever. With the exception of Take That, absolutely no-one interested me. Just boring. The Vamps doing Jingle Bells: Really??????????????????????????????????????????????????? Very pale comparison to the mighty TOTP of Christmas 1979 shown the night before!
  2. It's on Drownedmadonna-and they have been pretty spot on with everything else.
  3. Madonna will release the Diplo produced Living For Love in the New Year. It is described as having a "reggae sound", we have already heard a snippet of it, with the choir in the chorus. It also has Alicia Keys on piano. The video will be shot in new York in January.

I will be astonished if the chart doesn't look like this next Sunday 1 Symphonica: George Michael 2 Kiss Me Once: Kylie Minogue 3 The Take Off And Landing Of Everything: Elbow
  8. Wow, that new Coldplay song is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Was God Save The Queen by The Sex Pistols skipped only during Silver Jubilee week or for it's full chart run?

As much i disliked Reggie Yeates, Jameela Jamil is by far the worst chart show presenter of all time-and yes I include Wes Butters and JK and Joel. I can't stand the way she comes out with tripe like "It's insane how this record keeps on climbing up and up the chart from nowhere"-totally mangled sentences as if her brain is desperately trying to catch up with her mouth. I long for the day when Scott or Greg takes over.

I've bought more CDs in the past 2 weeks than I have the whole year. Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams and Miley Cyrus. Previous to this the only CD I have bought this year is Lady GaGa. And I probably won't listen to any of them beyond the first month of this year. I played GaGa once and was bored by it-maybe I just don't like music any more? I used to practically buy one CD per week!!

The show was taped weeks ago, before they knew who was going to win X-Factor, so they wouldn't have booked Sam to sing (mind you I'm pretty sure that t**t Arthur was on last year) I was watching the TOTP Christmas 1978 last night and they just had Noel Edmonds introducing performances of the biggest hits of the year-they should adopt this with future TOTP Christmas shows-show videos, live performances and promo performances (from Graham Norton, CIN, Strictly)-and get Rufus Hound or maybe Keith Lemon to do the links. Simples-no studio costs or performance fees. And we get a true account of the year!!!!

The worst Christmas TOTP ever. Surely they could have roped Passenger in? And they should consider showing videos again-it's ridiculoue Daft Punk, Robin Thicke and Avicii had mere glimpses when they are million selling singles-that would have been preferable to Tom zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Odell and The Saturdays who just looked bored-and thus, finally connecting with their audience!!!
  14. Robbie has this in the bag. jake Bugg will be at No.2 and Eminem and possibly GaGa will be ahead of JLS
  15. The dancing tramp? Worst.scene.in.a.pop.video.this.year.

It's out of the Midweek Top 40
  17. What a horrible racket.

Bit of a racket really-preferred the demo of Aura. I predict No 4 if it is released this week.
  19. I agree with the people who preferred the chart when Bruno and Mark were doing it. The Top 40 has never had a worse presenter than it has now (and yes, I include Reggie Yeates) Jameela Jahmil is terrible, cares nothing about the charts and links records as if she has just discovered the English language for the first time! Even when those idiots Dan and Phil read out the album chart, they attempt to include some interesting chart trivia-but ruin it with a pointless visual gag-and don't get me started on the stupid 'Take Three' rubbish. I love the charts and have followed them since 1980-and still write them down-but it is becoming a huge chore when i have to listen to so much banal rubbish from that terrible woman. Why on Earth didn't they give the show to Scott Mills or Greg James??? I know this is an old topic, but I'm coming to the end of my tether and may have to copy the charts out from Buzzjack during the chart commentary!!!
  20. Of course, there's Chalkdust by The Brat......................

So NOW stopped True Blue getting to Number One in the album chart?? I must have dreamed those six consecutive weeks Madonna was on top with that album then...... And if she was "responsible" for creating the compilation chart, it took her a full three years to do it!!!!!!!
  22. Heart Attack is ok, but I vote number one status to Bridgit Mendler's Hurricane-it's great. Plus I am totally distracted by that photo of Robin Thicke-God he's gorgeous!!!!!
  23. She should not have been given such a high profile show so quickly. I remember a few weeks ago when she 'interviewed' people at the Brits and just said to all of them "Can I have a hug", which is rivetting listening. She doesn't have the right mindset or radio skills to pilot a chart show-but that's also the fault of R1 bosses who treat chart statistics with obvious disdain, and are far more interested in turning radio into television with this ridiculous decision to put the final hour of the chart online. But it's not just R1 doing it-virtually all radio stations now have webcams and online content to view-the days of being a pure radio buff are sadly dwindling away. Why on earth didn't they offer Scott Mills or (with slight reservations) Greg James the chart-they would have been my choice-I literally couldn't beleive it when I offered it to Jameela Jamil. If Dan and Phil take it over-that's it-I'm done with the top 40.
  24. I agree, she's terrible. Sometimes it's as if she has discovered the English langauge for the first time, having difficulty stringing a sentence together. Her interviews are toe curling and generally Radio One need their heads tested giving her this show. Still, at least it's not those t**ts Dan and Phil.
  25. That new Beyonce song sounds dreadful
