Well generally speaking, I have noticed that Pride Month branding for most corporations has been much muted this year - some could arguably say that's a good thing as it was overboard and fake in previous years purely for the pink pound. But also undeniable that the drip drip transphobia in the press (especially conflating it erroneously with child abuse) and now more open homophobia is having an effect. And social media is definitely a huge catalyst for this kind of hate to spread with algorithms programmed to stir people up and connect them to like minded people.

It's a story that Byline Times are releasing over many parts so should cause maximum damage. Plus News UK, Sun's paremt company are taking it seriously. He's still on GB News frothing over trans people and Meghan Markle though. What a strange messed up individual- never changes the record.

To be fair. the US Billboard Hot 100 is stagnant rubbish based on slow airplay most of the year so album bombs liven it up if anything - and often is the cause of moving some unflushable turds of songs to recurrency as the album tracks push these long runners out of the Top 25/50 as required.

The subtext is always "You plebs don't know anything about the world of money, leave it to the people who do" (ie the ultra rich who have been scamming the rest of society, plunging some of them into horrendous living conditions whilst they enjoy high dividends, property wealth and a record breaking luxury goods market.

Well finally 'As It Was' is on ACR too but still holding on to top 40. Top 10 is really impressive for Billie Eilish, as her imperial phase is arguably over, and the track isn't particularly commercial (although not as quite as leftfield as 'TV'/'30th'). And it's holding nicely on Spotify.

Ah Wallace going after saying that Ukraine should be more grateful to the UK for aid which is odd considering they generally seem to be from my reading - especially Zelensky. But also Russia's assault is a crime against a democratic European country and by assisting them we are standing on the right side morally and that shouldn't be conditional on lots of gushing thanks.

Love this track so much and the video, although simple, is incredibly beautiful and uplifting (well apart from the last few seconds which are a bit sad ). Hope this can go top 10.

After a few months of me thinking the charts were incredibly meh, there's loads of great stuff in there - mainly some truly decent dance such as Peggy Gou, Rudimental and that DOD track (not forgetting 'Miracle'). Took me a while but on board with Jazzy and Hannah Laing too. But other great songs from Jorja Smith, 'Loreen, 'Satellite' and even after a long while (took me a long time to tolerate Central Cee), I'm thinking 'Sprinter' is a great no.1 - as good as 'Starlight', with that similar subtle but beautiful chillout backing. But Olivia's 'Vampire' which I'm glad is holding up well and not turning into a Leona style 'Happy' hit is the killer track at the moment (pardon the pun) although Billie Eilish's new one should be a great addition next week.

Guess 5 is a respectable debut for PJ Harvey considering how uncommercial the new album is and how she barely promotes.

Put me in the insta love - this sounds very nostalgic and timeless like the sort of thing I would have listened to in the 1990s, much simpler times. This is particularly beautiful especially the backing instruments.

Crazy that the still rather fresh 'Giving Me' and 'Dancing is Healing' are on ACR and out the top 20 but 'As It Was' is still SCR and at 11 after like 200 years on the chart!

Listening to it now and seems a big improvement on 'The Hope Six Demolition Project' . Downbeat but fascinating folk music. Needs many more listens though. Have to go all the way to Glasgow to see her as the London gigs sold out in seconds and she never does extra dates due to public demand.
