To be honest I think her choices for lead singles in many cases are a shambles. I hated and still to this day hate Shake It Off, Look What You Made Me Do and Me!, the last time I actually liked a lead single of hers was We Are Never... (not inc. Cardigan/Willow, they didn't really count, I love both of those) Regardless though - some promo is better than none! Me! wasn't THAT big of a car crash :lol:

I believe Lover sold 867,000 overall in its debut week including streaming, it was 679,000 pure sales.. Folklore also did very similar numbers, 846,000 overall with 615,000 pure sales.. Part of me thinks if she can do those Folklore numbers with a surprise release, 0 pre orders and no lead single.. then she may just tip the million mark this time? I never thought we'd get a 1m+ debut in the US again after Adele didn't manage it with 30 but both Folklore and Lover debuted with bigger first week sales :blink: She has gone HAM with the amount of variants this time too to the point where people are actually getting annoyed at her/making tiktoks about how this level of capitalism is not ok :lol: and a lot of her US fans are huge collectors who will buy most of, if not every variant!

Yeah, I'm not holding out much hope for a single now... but who knows, she could surprise us on Friday :rolleyes: I really hope all these variants mean she can debut in the US with 1m again and be the first since Reputation. Folklore was only 150k away with no pre orders.. if she released a strong lead single I think she definitely would have managed it but if she does it now it may be too late..

Yeah it is for sure! That signed CD has just sold out first after this restock too! Pretty sure it'll be because of the colour, it's the most visually appealing I think.. but I do also think the cover is the best of them all too :lol:

I had the best night everrrr at opening night in Manchester! The difference between that show and the first time I saw her at Alexandra Palace in 2018.. just wow. Going again to The O2 next Monday, can’t wait!
