As a Style stan since the day the original 1989 came out (it is in my top 3 Taylor songs of all time), I hate to agree with the Twitter stans but I think it is probably the worst re-recorded song she's ever done from the 4 albums she's re-released so far -_- :P the layering of the vocals in the chorus is just all wrong, it sounds like a low quality karaoke version you'd find of a song on YouTube Either way though, I hope it manages to chart well this week - it was criminally overlooked here the first time round! It didn't even get a top 20 peak :o

Not gonna lie I was hoping one of them would debut with over 1M here, maybe I'm just being greedy haha, still incredible numbers Style number 1 globally, I'd love that to get a shot at no.1 in the US or here, was always my favourite single from this era!!

Her team have now released a Cruel Summer single on iTunes so there’s two separate versions at #1 and #2 on US iTunes, and she’s extended her lead today as a result - I think she’s going to do it this week!!

It's only 5 points away from #1 on billboard atm this week too, I don't understand why the label don't seem to care! They're usually all over it with the remixes/digital singles etc (sometimes take it too far even, IMO, the amount of Anti Hero remixes was unnecessary lol) all they need to do is release a digital single on her US store and it would be an easy #1 with the amount of fans that would buy it, I don't understand :angry:

I'm not a huge fan of the cover either, it's a lovely photo but it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the first 3 rereleases having the title on it :(

I know you can’t fully compare the US to UK but to put it into perspective, she apparently did over 400k pre orders of this in the first 24 hours in the US which is over double what Midnights did. This is going to be huge I voted 120,000-129,000

As it stands just for those who were accepted however they've started releasing codes to people who were on the waitlist as people aren't buying the VIP packages. From what I'm seeing though, even those who are getting codes from the waitlist are still not willing to pay the VIP price so they're just sitting there unsold. I'm going to assume even if they do remove the VIP packages and just release them as normal tickets it'll just be people who registered who are able to buy tickets. There was rumoured to have been over 9 million registrations so I doubt they'll need to even have a "general" sale, the presale has just become the "general" sale :blink:

Yeah agreed ^ The same thing happened with the Reputation tour. For some reason her team allocate a big % of tickets to VIP packages which are ridiculously expensive, they're like £660. A lot of the seats are nosebleeds too, who the hell is paying that sort of money to sit in the sky? All for a box of merch that must cost no more than £50 to make including all inside components.... For the Reputation tour the VIP packages just weren't selling in the UK and they ended up releasing them as a normal tickets without the VIP package, so I assume they'll do the same here. There is legit thousands of seats left in the nosebleeds in most cities, all allocated to the VIP package. A lot of people are being chosen from the waistlist only to go in and see all thats left is the £660 package. If nobody is going to buy them, they're going to have no choice but to release them as normal tickets. Hopefully they do so more people can afford to go, us Brits won't pay that sort of money, TayTay, especially in this cozzie livs x

Unfortunately codes are non-transferrable, they only work if used on the account that the code was given to. TM/AXS also won't allow you to join the queue to buy tickets when they go on sale if the account you're using isn't under an email they selected for presale access. After the mess of the US sale, it seems like they've tried to take every measure possible this time around to stop scalpers :unsure: although there's already hundreds of tickets on stubhub for ridic prices...
