American Idol
We will hear a lot more from Adam, doubtless - but he didn't lose because he's gay. He lost because he performed the same every week, and become as predictable as Leon Jackson did. Adam is very talented, no doubt, and as I said the day before the final, I'd have been happy for him to win, but he came across to me as a bit of a one-trick-pony. He's good at what he does, but I don't see the creativity in him that I saw in contestants such as Blake Lewis. He's got that creative streak that's come up with that thing that works for him, but I couldn't call him versatile. Kris is a wonderful winner, I think. Adam will doubtless have success, but I'm more bothered that Alison gets something sorted. She and Kris have stood out the most for me this year.

The Apprentice
I don't care that Ben went ... it was about 6 weeks overdue anyway. I do want Debra to go desperately, but as previously commented in this thread, she MUST make it to the interviews - they'll slaughter her :D

American Idol
I hope Kris wins tonight. He's been consistent, and although not remarkable in a lot of ways, has a lot of genuine talent, and lots of good characteristics. But that's not to say Adam isn't good, I'd be happy enough for him to win. I didn't like the double standards last week though ... I love love love Kara, but the way she blasted Kris for not doing a newer version of one of his songs, but then praised Adam for sticking to the original version on his was a real WTF moment. v

Eurovision Songs Charting In The UK Midweeks
I think it's been evident throughout the Eurovision process, since February, that Europe likes that particular song more than the UK do ... that's no surprise

Circus - 6th Studio Album
I don't understand why tours help albums so much. I always assume people who pay 50-100 quid for a ticket to see an artist have bought the album aswell  I appreciate it does help, but I just don't understand how :|

Capital FM's Summertime Ball
Does this mean Ciara won't be supporting Britney that night? Or does the event start early enough for her to potentially do this then run to the O2? Hoping the former, I want someone else

UK Chart Information - Singles & Albums
Do you mean UK sales, or worldwide? In terms of worldwide, off've the top of my head, the album order is Baby One More Time (25mill), Oops (17mill), Britney (9mill), In The Zone (7.7mill), Circus (3.1mill), Blackout (about 2.2mill). The singles will be available on her wikipedia discography page, but if I remember correctly, they're in order of platinum/gold/silver certification, rather than specific sales...

Juries ranking revealed
Not that I know of  Maybe the juries were pissed off because of the stunts Spain pulled in the run up ... moving Semi's and then not showing it live etc? But it's unfair to penalise Soraya because of that stuff, so possibly not. Just odd!

Juries ranking revealed
Norway (312 points) Iceland (260 points) United Kingdom (223 points) France (164 points) Estonia (124 points) Denmark (120 points) Turkey (114 points) Azerbaijan (112 points) Israel (107 points) Greece (93 points) Moldova (93 points) Bosnia & Herzegovina (90 points) Malta (87 points) Germany (73 points) Armenia (71 points) Ukraine (68 points) Russia (67 points) Portugal (64 points) Croatia (58 points) Lithuania (31 points) Romania (31 points) Sweden (27 points) Albania (26 points) Finland (12 points) Spain (9 points) Wow, the juries killed Spain and Sweden :o And it's probably because of them Greece ranked quite low aswell. Televoters must have really not liked Germany... Your thoughts?

Your ESC 2009 Analysis
Now that the final is over () for another year, what were your thoughts on the performances and results? Whose performances disappointed you? Whose (unexpectedly) impressed you? Who did you think placed unfairly or surprisingly low? And who exceeded your expectations on the final leaderboard? And anything else you wanna tell us :P

There should be a Technical Award for the stages
I agree, the technical aspects of Eurovision 2009 were magnificant ... my only issue in the whole show was that Tukey's BV's were very quiet but even that was rectified swiftly. Congratulations, Russia!
