I just can't put my finger on it. Kimberley and Nicola sound the best, but I think they're all just trying to oversing it. It all just sounds a bit amateur-ish, which is really unusual for GA :unsure:

I can't believe what outright KNOBS they're being to Lorraine this week (I'm watching as I type...) She hates the idea, perfectly clear. Then when someone says 'is everyone happy' and she says no, they're trying to make out she's a bitch, for saying what she's said the whole way through?! Ughhh.

Ditto that. All 3 X Men films for 10 quid, is crazy to me. Same for CD's ... things like Furtado's 'Loose' was 15.99 the other day, when other higher/equally charting and selling CD's from the same year were about a fiver :|

I don't think you can hold Miley Cyrus solely responsible for the kidnap, torture and rape of young girls :unsure: I don't even consider Miley to be that young ... she's 16, she's not a child, and she's on her journey to becoming a woman. The thought of her as a eleven year old on her way to superstardom does unsettle me a little, because I'm just not convinced kids can handle fame. But I don't consider Hannah Monatana as a character to be sexualized in any way. Miley on the other hand, is sexy, but she's 16, and girls have been having sex at 16 and younger for a lot longer than before Miley et al came along, I don't think you can really rationalize that young stars are responsible for the demons in society. Take Vanessa Hudgens nude photo scandal as an example of fans awareness. How many of her 7 year old fans do you suppose actually got to see the photo of her naked? Probably hardly any ... and in any case, any who did see it are clearly not being supervised in their Internet viewing to even be able to access that sort of material, in which case, a naked picture of Vanessa Hudgens should be the least of a parent's concern.

So some friend and I were at the cinema the other day seeing 17 Again (sigh, I know.) and as usual we talked to each other throughout the adverts and after some of the trailers, discussing whether we'd like to go see them, what we thought of the trailer etc ... but some maaaardy woman on the row in front of us kept turning round and giving us disapproving looks and telling her friend louder than was necessary (ironically) that she hated when people talked 'during the movie'. I would point out, once the actual movie started, we didn't say anything. So I ask you - is trailer chat appropriate? Does it irritate you when people talk during the Pepsi adverts at the start? Is it okay to discuss the trailers as they're on screen?

Discussing the albums/tour thing, I can't imagine any reason why anyone wouldn't rather go to the gig than buy the album. The fact is, people can't afford to do both. Say a Britney ticket costs 50 quid ... that's fine, except she's only doing London dates and one Manchester .... so anyone outside London has to take the afternoon off've work to get the London, and probably the next morning to get home again, plus a central London hotel plus travel (train or petrol) ... a ticket which orignally cost 50 quid and an evening, can suddeny become 200 quid and nearly 2 days of lost work. If people are able to get time off work, if not they're going to have to fight for a Saturday show, of which there are two. But the whole point is, people presumably don't mind going through all that and paying that much money, since her shows are between 97-100% sold out ... but they can't be expected to then go out and spend even more money on albums. You could get 20 albums for the price of a weekend in London and seeing the Britney concert, but I know which I'd rather spend my money on. People have to make their choice, and albums are just too expensive and not worth the money they cost to make(especially when we know how little they cost to produce, it's just a slap in the face).

I completely love SW? - I find the writing really witty, and love absolutely every character, and that so rarely happens for me. Andrea, Dena and Regina just amaze me :wub:
