According to HMV's in-store pre-order system this album was originally due for release on June 30th, and then in mid-June it was pushed to September 29th which remains the current release date!
  2. hello
  3. Confident's success surprises me, but its instrumental has probably become her most iconic at least in recent years thanks to its constant use in adverts and as TV soundbeds!
  4. Exceptional promo strategy from Jax's label there, should never have doubted them! Now we need Demi's other track to somehow climb into the top 10, surely there's a chance seeing as radio airplay is still relatively limited for Sorry Not Sorry?
  5. Instruction ON THE BRINK, just 0.15 behind as of last update - COME ON!!!
  6. I think she did pretty much say that to Chad in the bedroom and then she sort of backtracked when she realised she might have hurt his feelings when she should've just left it at that point! I agree she's too nice for her own good in there, I have faith that she won't end up with either of them - if she does she's blown the victory chances.
  7. I feel sorry for Amelia, it totally comes across that she's just having fun and the guys surrounding her are trying to make it all a massive deal and push for a showmance. Coincidentally (or not) Sam, Chad and Paul all have reality TV experience that has a major focus on romances (MiC, Bachelorette, Love Island) so are no doubt playing it up for that purpose. Luckily I don't think there's too much more left in this storyline, and I have a gut feeling Amelia is going to win this which would be amazing. I think this is good for her to immediately be at the forefront and even if she quietens down over the next couple of weeks she won't be accused of flying under the radar which would damage her win chances.
  8. It sounds so good as well doesn't it! I wonder if this was a Music To Make Boys Cry reject or was recorded after that for album 3 before it came to a halt? I remain optimistic we'll get some more music from her one day, even if she just "does a Lucie Jones" and turns up for a Eurovision single in a few years time. I'm glad she's still hot property in the musicals business though!
  9. Instruction up to #11 but Despacito has benefited from the top 10 effect and has pulled away :(
  10. Hmm I think Amelia's doing well at the moment, she's actually bringing out a slightly more likeable side in Sam and especially Chad. As long as she doesn't actually become "official" with either of them I think she's benefiting. I can see Chad going on a "journey" actually, I think he's going to do surprisingly well. The arrogance with girls aside I actually quite like him, I feel like that arrogance with girls will wear off as time passes - perhaps he's just trying to keep up the character he plays on the Bachelorette (not that I have much of an idea what that show is).
  11. 12. Jax Jones - Instruction (feat. Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don) Is top 10 finally going to happen? Let's just hope Despacito version two doesn't manage to pull out a gap now that's sneaked back into the top 10.

I feel like I read somewhere that Jacqueline was due another break so maybe it was just for that if true?
  13. We could end up with Sorry Not Sorry fighting Instruction for that top 10 place that will become available with Little Mix starting to fade away! Although knowing our luck, Sorry Not Sorry will peak at #11 and Instruction at #12.

I agree Shona is so much better than the storylines she's been given recently, she's still one of my favourite actresses in soap. For me, probably considering I've only watched from early-mid 2000s, Whitney is one of the most iconic characters as she had several hard-hitting storylines when she was younger. I definitely think she's worth keeping around as Shona can be one of the best actresses on the show when she's given the chance and Whitney is definitely a redeemable character, but I think she could do with Tiffany to come back and give her storylines away from the Carters. It's unfortunate for her that there doesn't seem to really be anyone in her age range apart from Lauren and Steven so she can't naturally connect to other sections of the Square. She seems a bit to old to hang around with the likes of Ben/Abi/Jay. I'm not actually sure how old Whitney is, maybe she's just been portrayed as much older to make the Mick story believable. It would've been interesting to pair her with someone like Keanu but I thought he was early-mid 20s whereas it seems he's only 18! :heehee:
  15. Interesting that Rain has stalled now, despite getting the added 59p promo as I thought it'd rocket into the top 3. It seems that the fact it has lost exposure from being on the first column of Hot Songs has negated any added effect, something that Enrique has completely made the most of now he's there instead.
  16. I get the lack of artistic identity comments for Crying in the Club and OMG, but I'm not sure I can imagine anyone else other than Camila singing Havana. The song obviously takes musical influences from her Cuban roots and her hometown of Havana, and it uses some instrumentation towards the end of the song that reminds me of ska-type music, a genre that originated in the Caribbean. I'm not going to pretend to know anything about ska/reggae/2 tone music but it feels like they do influence this song to me. Even just the lyrics make it only a song Camila could do, but I can't say I've heard a song using the instrumentation Havana does for a long long time and that's because the majority of other artists don't have Caribbean roots, I can only think of Rihanna. On the topic of the two singles, Havana has definitely had the better reaction - it was ahead in all major territories last night. Only now OMG is in Hot Songs is it beginning to reverse and that's a shame. At least they've seen sense and are pushing Havana on Spotify, but OMG is higher on the majority of other NMF playlists around Europe.

10 woots out of a possible 11, will very happily take that!
  18. 73. Camila Cabello - Havana (feat. Young Thug) 78. Camila Cabello - OMG (feat. Quavo) Glad to see the better of the two songs off to the better start, but I imagine OMG will take over soon as it seems to be getting the bigger push on her social media.
  19. I see what you are seeing too on the Web version of Spotify, Demi is up to 20!
  20. Yeah I believe she is, there was quite a long list of names attached so I picked the most exciting ones!
  21. Both are out on Apple Music, and both are a bit too urban-leaning for me unfortunately. I think I can get on board with Havana, I'm liking the ska/reggae/2 tone influences particularly at the end of the song. OMG is just too trend-chasing though I think, and its the trend that I don't like at all.
  22. I wish Sorry Not Sorry wouldn't keep disappearing from the iTunes chart, it's the new Malibu!
  23. Liking this on first listen, feels more like an Olly song rather than a Kungs song but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Wouldn't be surprised to see it become Olly's highest chart peak since Up.
  24. I say this every week but Instruction in Hot Songs tomorrow will equal top 10 so please make it happen!
