  1. The national final was already delayed until Feb 22nd as of a week or two ago but yes, drama indeed! :o I've heard the full version of that remaining song (it's floating around after being released on Aus iTunes) and its really decent actually - much better than I was expecting! I have been expecting three Utopian Lands from this selection.
  2. Top of les odds :cheer: https://eurovisionworld.com/odds/eurovision
  3. Feast your eyes on this winning performance https://www.mako.co.il/tv-the-next-star/vid...0002a0c10acRCRD
  4. Anyone that can mash up TiK ToK and Gangnam Style for the most important performance of her life and make it work to amazing effect certainly deserved the victory! I think she might be too quirky for the Eurovision audience, but it'll all depend on the song of course.
  5. I've just read a rough translation of the lyrics, powerful stuff!
  6. The music video + song package for this is really strong, although I'm guessing this probably strays quite close to the political speech rule too? It'll still be fine, it'll be no more of a "rule-break" than France's "Mercy" I imagine. V4zO_1Z_1S8
  7. Yeah I think it'll be fine, the EBU usually just trot out the line "the song has no competitive advantage from its previous form of release" whenever this issue arises these days. The fact it is one of their pets Italy should be in their favour too :kink:
  8. Ermal & Fabrizio win after a televoting landslide! Lo Stato Sociale just beat Annalisa to second. Now we await news whether Ermal & Fabrizio's song will be allowed to compete in Eurovision (there were issues earlier this week regarding their song being released a couple of years ago in another form or something) which could be an issue in Eurovision. They've said earlier this week they'll go to Eurovision if they can.
  9. Superfinalists are Annalisa, Ermal & Fabrizio and Lo Stato Sociale. Great top 3!
  10. Sanremo usually finishes around 1am our time based on past experience!
  11. 109. Saara Aalto - Monsters :cheer:
  12. Prepare for emojis that only work on select devices (apparently not on any) and a post that's way too long :cheer: Amazing 01. Czech Republic // Mikolas Josef - Lie To Me 02. Macedonia Finland Georgia Germany Greece Hungary Iceland Ireland Israel Italy Latvia Lithuania Moldova Montenegro Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia San Marino Serbia Slovenia Sweden The Netherlands Ukraine Did they even do a draw this year or was it just split by alphabet!
  13. Gromee recently had a massive hit so could be a contender although I imagine his music is difficult to translate into a live performance. Isabel should be in with a good shout this year assuming she’s not 3rd in the actual running order.
  14. This is the Debs song apparently!
  15. jk3_GRHmbjc The U.K. weren’t worthy :cheeseblock: 20 out of 10
  16. SuRie gave the best performance of the night, after her performance it seemed pretty sure she was going to win - I was looking at the odds too but you could just tell by the arena reaction. I think it's a mistake, Legends was still the best song and Asanda just needed (a lot of) backing vocal help which I'm sure they could have achieved - Sweden manage it all the time. Storm won't get out of bottom 5 (a bit of jury support as its professional enough to appear in a few jury top 10s, nothing from televote = Joe and Jake) whereas Legends had at least a sniff of a chance if there was significant improvement. And if there wasn't, 25th/26th compared to SuRie's 24th isn't a big loss.
  17. Surprisingly I trust the public much more than the jury, if it was an international jury Asanda would win fine but not as convinced that she’ll win a national jury for some reason
  18. CORRECT DECISION ON THE NIGHT WELL DONE ALL
  19. Christabelle definitely joining as a last minute contender, but Brooke had the pre-show momentum (and good staging too) and Richard & Joe stands out amongst the female pop. My instinct is saying it's going to be Richard & Joe, but I think Christabelle deserves it after that unexpectedly amazing performance.
  20. The only one not on streaming services so far is Albania. The rest are!
  21. Eleni confirmed with Fuego!
  22. Correct! Song is called Together https://www.escxtra.com/2018/01/31/ryan-osh...ireland-lisbon/
  23. Thank you for the promo! *.* Statistically semi 2 is much stronger, but I feel like lots of the promising national final entries/internal selections are all in semi 1! Interesting indeed.
