Gosh, as a Spanish teacher that definitely hurt my eyes. It is Despacito, Mi Gente and Subeme La Radio. I hope the 'Spanish theme' remains in the charts for good somehow and the UK starts to be open for more varied music styles from now on.

Tomorrow they should reduce Subeme La Radio and Mi Gente to 59p to get them both into top 10 exposure. It would be great to see four songs in Spanish/Spanglish in the iTunes top 10 next week with Despacito and Reggaeton Lento. :wub:

I am shockingly suprised at how good this is. I was not a fan of the original at all even though I must have heard it like 10 times at least before. This is probably one of the best Little Mix singles ever. Truly deserve that #1.

The remix is 100% for CNCO promotion and the only reason why Little Mix are doing it is to add another hit on their already long list of hit singles in the UK (and arguably Ireland). This would not help Little Mix at all in Spanish speaking countries as Regueatton Lento is long done and dusted and I doubt they will re-release it on radio or TV. CNCO have a current single on promotion and charting high in all these countries: Hey DJ featuring Yandel.

I know that, thank you. My first language is Spanish. I was just hoping it was going to be new single and not just another remix of a Spanish hit, I am not a fan of Regueatton Lento. Hopefully they are able to improve the song a lot. ^_^

I agree completely. Radio is though another one of the reasons why there are not foreign language tracks more frequently becoming a hit in the UK unfortunately. -_-

I do not think that adding 2 foreign language songs in 5 years in low rotation changes my statement at all. Also you can compare the ratio of male/female hits and you cannot deny that there are currently more male figures in the charts than females. I absolutely reiterate everything that I said in my previous comment.

BBC radio/British radio remains ageist, sexist and anti-foreign language tracks. Despacito was never A-listed in BBC Radio 1 for instance, even though it is probably within the top 3 of the biggest hits this decade. Chantaje is exactly everything they do not like. Doubt it would have ever been more than a lower top 40 iTunes hit in the UK.
