Spotify Wrapped
Spice Girls related songs appeared three times on my Wrapped Top 100: 45. Take my Breath Away - Emma Bunton 47. A Mind of Its Own - Victoria Beckham 60. Say You'll Be There - Spice Girls I know these look incredibly random . Say You'll Be There is by far favourite Spice Girls song (I only really listen to that, Wannabe and Stop) but generally I prefer their solo careers, I think because being born in 1995 I remember them much better from the time. Emma's especially I've always been very nostalgic for... I'm sure What Took You So Long and Maybe ect would not have been too far from my top 100. I also really enjoy Geri's music, Lift Me Up was definitely on my Wrapped last year and it's always been one of my childhood favourites, I have the CD single still! Take My Breath Away is wonderful and peak 00s love pop song in my opinion, it always puts me in a good mood when I listen to it. I also love a Mind of Its Own for similar reasons although I'm not that fond of the rest of Victoria's solo music.

Foxes - The Kick
I've always been a huge fan of Foxes but I'm still not totally sure what I think of this era's sound. I loved the songs from the Friends in the Corner EP and was disappointed when it was announced there wasn't going to be a full album of similar as originally planned. I hope it will grow on me but have found the singles so far a bit underwhelming to be honest!

OCC: Adele's Top 20 Biggest Songs
Adele really has been a sensation hasn't she! She's had such an amazing career and I forget how long she's been around. So many nostalgic memories for me including getting the Chasing Pavements CD single from Woolworths. I also concurr with the forgotten Cold Shoulder being extremely underrated. I remember it as one of the first songs I downloaded from iTunes onto my new ipod nano at the time, would be great for it to reach a Silver certification eventually! I'm hoping her comeback will help give Hello enough of a push on downloads to be a million seller, I know it was only around 50,000 from it the last figures we had in 2017. I expect it would be the last released song ever to reach a million pure sales although a few older ones might get there eventually.

Sarah Harding
I was very sad to hear of her passing away yesterday and this celebrity death has hit me harder than any other like many have said. Like nost people here I grew up with Girls Aloud all through my childhood and teenage years. To think someone I grew up hearing and seeing is no longer with us is extremely surreal and she was so young as well. It still all feels so quick from finding out about her diagnosis to now. When she first revealed she had cancer I thought with treatment she would be okay. I was shocked when she said the cancer was terminal and although we knew this would eventually come I still hoped somehow she would live longer than the doctors predicted. It really is a horrible illness and I'm glad she is no longer suffering now. I'm also glad she knew how much she cared for by fans who were able to bring her some happiness and comfort. Rest in peace Sarah and condolences to her her family and friends.

UK Singles + Albums Sales
It really is crazy how much streaming has impacted the ability to reach certification thresholds. Getting a certified single is now pretty easy and many do it without even reaching the top 100 at all. But getting a certified album, never mind platinum, is now much more difficult than it used to be. I'd really love for Evermore to reach it!

2021 BPI Certifications
I genuinely think I've always thought they were called of Mice and Men  To be fair they were one hit wonders!

2021 BPI Certifications
Not too much exciting happening this week although 2x Platinum is impressive for a #12 song by Mice and Men! You do hear it in a lot of places though so maybe not too surprising really! Also  at Red Lights going Gold and If We Ever Meet Again going Platinum, I loved them back in the day and had forgotten about them until now. That's always what I enjoy looking at the weekly certifications!

2021 BPI Certifications
I know I'm a little late to this thread but  at these going Silver! I would love Kiss With a Fist to be certified eventually too since it was sitting at similar sales to the others a few years ago. I was a huge charts fan in the early 10s and I've only started following them again recently. It's incredible that songs which peaked in the lower half of the top 100 can eventually trickle enough units to be certified. NLMG was at 133,000 combined in July 2018 and passed 200,000 in February 2021, meaning it must add around 2,000 units each month. For a song that peaked at #82 9 years ago, that is amazing and really highlights just how much higher 'sales' are in the streaming era.

Foxes - TBA
As a huge fan of Foxes since 2013 I have to agree with this. It's such a shame as her songs from the new era so far have been great, 'Friends in the Corner' is one of my favourites of the year and I think her singing has improved as well imo. But with zero promotion her career (in the charts anyway) is probably over.

YTD UK Albums : Sales estimates - week 49
As someone who used to follow the charts and sales year ago and have only started again recently, it's shocking to see how low sales are now, which is especially highlighted by all the greatest hits albums! Unlike in the singles where it has gotten a lot easier, getting a platinum certified album now is a massive achievement.

Diana Vickers - Music To Make Boys Cry
Hurry up love. Please :(.
- JLS - Evolution
-
Cheryl - Call My Name
I only have 3 Words. The album is ok, the singles and Rain On Me being the highlights. The rest of the album has a cheap sound to my ears, it's like they finished 4 songs and the rest were demos.

Ellie Goulding - Halcyon
Which mean's it has been two years and one day since I have had this album. <3

Cher Lloyd feat. Astro - Want U Back
Well done Cher, shame it flopped here :(.

Florence + The Machine // 'Ceremonials' October 31
That would be a good single I feel :D. I hope Spectrum get's released though as well.

Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars
Kiss The Stars is growing on me, probably one of the best songs so far this year for me now.
-
Alexandra Burke feat. Erick Morillo - Elephant
"Elephant" is a bit of a random title, isn't it?
-
Atomic Kitten - Set for comeback
Hope this helps "Whole Again" to a million, it can't be that far off now.
-
Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars
I loved Pixie's the first two singles, but this new music video and her new look is awful. The song is a bit meh. Sorry :(.

iTunes Chart: January 2012
I was only interested in 21 when I lost a girlfriend at the start of the year. After I got over that, the album got very uninteresting. it sounded AMAZING at the time though. It was describing exactly how I felt. "Someone Like You" is a song everyone can relate to.

I'm sure you could ask Vidcapper for some sales of the more recent songs also, he can give you very accurate estimates.
