  3. A lot of the songs on this list will be much higher due to trickle sales. FFTL was estimated to be around 45k more.
  4. Florence And The Machine. My favourite group of all time.
  5. Ceremonials. It's so haunting and amazing.
  6. Olly Murs for HSAB.
  7. It was between Jessie J and Katy B, Jessie J gets my vote for stronger singles.
  8. We Found Love, Don't Hold Your Breath and Price Tag.

    OUCH :(
  10. Wow Diana's new material is awesome :o
  11. This is being released on the 18th December. It's on the Radio 1 playlist so maybe there is hope for this song after all. Plus, you can pre order the Ep on itunes as well. It comes with a few remixes, plus the original version of the song(it's annoying that you can't download the original version of "Mr Saxobeat" in the UK).
  12. Same here, I doubted we would ever hear from her again. I'm quite relieved, I loved most of her first album. If she has any success though it will be a miracle....
  13. Agree on the cover. And the song sounds really pleasant but it isn't anything amazing.....

I agree, good longevity for him I didn't expect.

I can't believe that "Who You Are" is top 5 on itunes now, just a few weeks ago I thought it was going to miss re-entering the top 40!

The instrumental of "Fairytale Of New York" is being used in an advert, maybe that will help it this year.
  17. It's a real shame "Collide" is well below 150k. Really under achieved and isn't a good sign for the album. Hope she can turn this around, the promotion for the song was messed up completely.

Aw thank you, I'll try :). I agree completely, it happens often. Look at Pixie Lott, "All About Tonight" was long running by her standards. Then The excellent 2nd singles bombs out the top 40 after only two weeks. Same with the Saturdays, after having one quite big single their next single flops out after 2 weeks and the album after only 1 week. I think they both are in danger here. Christina Perri isn't doing very well with her follow up either, she isn't from the UK but I'm surprised after "Jar Of Hearts" and the twilight film that it hasn't got top 20 at least. it's one of the most haunting songs this year IMO. I like Professor Green's softer sound, I haven't heard the new Wretch 32 one yet.
  19. Good news, don't see her being successful at all though sadly.

Hello again Eric, I gave up on the forum for a while. I've decided to come back to give it another shot. I was getting nervous watching them hang around the lower numbers for so long, they are my favourite songs from both artists now.

Relieved to see "Midnight Run" climbing at last. Same can be said for "Who You Are". Glad it's finally getting into the top 10 as it deserves.
  22. This was my album of 2008, one of the first I bought. It's so different from most of my music collection. Not a single naff song and lovely vocals and production. None of their other albums come close for me though, which is a shame. I thought "Head First" was nice but I got tired of it quickly.
  23. Ellie Goulding overuses the word heat in her songs: "The heat was rising.... we had heat" - Notice "In perfect heat, in perfect heat" - Not Following You "You are the heat in my bones" - Little Dreams "You said I had heat" - Every Time You Go "Body-heat hot" - Who'd Want To Find Love

I download legally unless the song isn't available to download or I want a demo. Or it's an iTunes "album only" track. IMO the record company deserve it it that case.
