Thank You isn't on my favourites list, but I do agree with this Tweet - it IS a powerful song, but so pleased Joe Public seems to be liking/loving it. Been reading some good feedback over on TD. Comments under his video: Hey.... Suggy .....

Thanks TT. A great review. I wouldn't say they are necessarily 'bad' choices - just that I don't believe they are strong enough to carry the flag for the album. I really believe that one of the de-luxe tracks would have been better.I can't uinderstand why they didn't release Like a River as a single - it has a great rhythm and incessant beat and tends to stick in the mind. Just my choice of course. The fact that LR hasn't been picked up and run with is not good because if people don't hear him for longer than just couple of weeks on the Beeb then they won't know he even has an album out. He hasn't done as much promo this time round either.
  13. I was just reading that over on TD. Thanks for bringing it over TT. Lovely piccy they have used too  http://www.scotsman.com/webimage/1.3821295.../2358843707.jpg
  14. Behind the scenes

Yes it is. If you look at the sales stats in the Chart Forum streaming accounts for 64%! of the total singles. That's a huge amount. :o And the album chart isn't unaffected either:

His position is much better on the "Physicals" chart. He doesn't appear at all on the "streaming" chart so doesn't have that 'advantage' to boost his chart position: The "Physicals" chart looks much better: 33 24 85 PERCENT PROOF

Thanks to Bumblies on TD for spotting this interview with Monocle. So good to hear him being allowed to answer a question in full instead of being interrupted. Nothing much we don't already know, aside from that he is going to be doing another blog - most likely for Huffington Post. http://monocle.com/radio/shows/the-big-interview/10/ They also have a magazine. http://monocle.com/magazine/ Thanks for the piccies TT. :D

 I'm inclined to agree, finally, - I haven't really liked either of the releases. There are much better tracks on the album.

Thanks to Diz on Devoted for spotting this.

Wow that's a long interview! I notice he speaks more about his father's ancestors now than he ever did - it's like he's not, perhaps, embarrassed to say he had 'famous' ancestors. Maybe he thought people would think he was being boastful. I hope this international tour goes well for him. It's such a shame he didn't do it in the past. He's had some great big-selling albums that just seem to have gone unacknowledged internationally. Maybe people will now discover his back catalogue. Thanks TT.
