From the author of the manga Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, Uoto's other work "100m (Hyakuemu.)" is getting an anime movie adaptation. There's no release date for UK theaters yet, but it will premiere first at Scotland Loves Animation on November 1st. The trailer looks festival-esque, similar to Fujimoto's Look Back last year (and nowhere near the shounen trope x), so please give it a chance, too, like all the Ghibli & Shinkai works.

Judging from the score on MAL, apparently studio Madhouse fell off once again after being the GOAT for adapting Frieren, Orb, and Trillion Game (by the Dr. Stone author; haven't watched though). Wandance certainly struggles with 3D-CGI; a hardcore Overlord content creator was disappointed with its new spin-off movie; and I wasn't sure what happened to Dinner Table Detective (didn't watch this, too). Hopefully it won't affect their next three anime, which are all promising: Frieren S2, Liar Game, and One Hundred Views of Awajima

Despite having not been listening to the Top 40 for almost a year, I can already imagine Jack Saunders shouting, "David Guetta is back on the Top 40/Top 20/Top 10!" after that final chorus if the song becomes a hit. Surprisingly listenable, but both singers would be fine without the "Titanium guy" (not you, Afrojack & Tuinfort x).

Alt/indie rock band Hitsujibungaku released their fifth studio album on Wednesday, titled Don't Laugh It Off. Already liking both Feel (Silent Witch) and Burning (Oshi no Ko), so I'm intrigued to give the rest of the LP a listen when I finally catch up with new releases. A little bit surprised that Mild Days (also Silent Witch) wasn't in the album, especially considering that it was the B-track from Feel. Definitely giving the band a recommendation following PFSC's "Dreamy Pop" contest earlier this year.

Unfortunately, It Ended Before It Began for us after seeing the lineup of our Semi. Gutted, but not surprised. Thanks to all the votes—17 points were higher than I expected—and all the supports from the other Semi!
