Is it a real possibility Gaga will break Hung Up's record of being #1 in the most countries? Also, Black and Yellow is confirmed for release, but not for about 3/4 weeks. Depends if they decide to do an early release.

Gaga essentially has a 3/4+ week #1 in the bag. Unless a track drastically climbs, she is untouchable. I for one can't see a song like Price Tag or Champion reclaiming a #1 from a massive worldwide artist, and when the video is released it will go up in sales massively even further. Personally, the only tracks I can see taking #1 from it are the Comic Relief single or Black and Yellow. Maybe S&M if Rihanna does major promo, but Loud has sold a million and its highly unlikely.

Oh my god, her US iTunes lead is spectacular I doubt it will be *quite* the same in the UK but I imagine a decent lead over Price Tag and Champion

#1!!! :w00t: Made up for her, don't care if it sounds like Express Yourself, Born This Way is incredible.

I'd say Rihanna was close, but she's not quite as big as they are

If she gets #1 in say, half an hour, she will have sold more in about 4 hours than any other song has done in the last 48 hours I'm still hesistant to say it will go Top 10, but the speed at which she's rising, it's incredible :o

Price Tag #1 again! It will last for about 15 minutes, but at least that Champion song will never return Go Gaga! :D

Yeah, I meant by normal Swedish music sales is it a bucketload  She must be such a huge star over there

As if this is still in the Top 10 in Sweden, it must have sold bucketloads! :o If only she could repeat that success here :( Anyway, hope Jessie can climb back and make it 2 weeks, and I hope S&M makes top 10

  11. Agree with Robyn so much, considering how badly Body Talk flopped its mind-blowing to think that just 3 and a half years ago she had a #1 single! Dancing On My Own went #1 in Sweden for two weeks, shame it couldn't do the same here. I remember it was released when California Gurls was in the charts though, so it had no chance, but its such a great song. :(

I love long-lasting number ones, but over about 4/5 weeks they start to annoy me Umbrella's chart run was irritating, even though the song is amazing. Prevented the White Stripes and Kate Nash from making #1  Also, I hope Jessie can hold on! Hopefully the new release schedule will mean its popularity won't fall so quickly (or it could climb), whereas Chipmunk could see sales tail off towards the end of the week.

Yeah, I guess it will, I would much rather Jessie had 2 weeks than have Chipmunk and Chris Brown get a week with a song that would be lucky (imo) to reach the Year End Top 40 :( And I'd add In My Head and Gettin Over You to the list of non-#1s from last year, although I guess its what you define as a non-#1 really B)
