iTunes Chart: February 2011 (I)
Is it a real possibility Gaga will break Hung Up's record of being #1 in the most countries? Also, Black and Yellow is confirmed for release, but not for about 3/4 weeks. Depends if they decide to do an early release.

iTunes Chart: February 2011 (I)
Gaga essentially has a 3/4+ week #1 in the bag. Unless a track drastically climbs, she is untouchable. I for one can't see a song like Price Tag or Champion reclaiming a #1 from a massive worldwide artist, and when the video is released it will go up in sales massively even further. Personally, the only tracks I can see taking #1 from it are the Comic Relief single or Black and Yellow. Maybe S&M if Rihanna does major promo, but Loud has sold a million and its highly unlikely.

Lady Gaga - Born This Way
Oh my god, her US iTunes lead is spectacular I doubt it will be *quite* the same in the UK but I imagine a decent lead over Price Tag and Champion

#1!!! :w00t: Made up for her, don't care if it sounds like Express Yourself, Born This Way is incredible.

I'd say Rihanna was close, but she's not quite as big as they are

iTunes Chart: February 2011 (I)
If she gets #1 in say, half an hour, she will have sold more in about 4 hours than any other song has done in the last 48 hours I'm still hesistant to say it will go Top 10, but the speed at which she's rising, it's incredible :o

Price Tag #1 again! It will last for about 15 minutes, but at least that Champion song will never return Go Gaga! :D

iTunes Chart: February 2011 (I)
Yeah, I meant by normal Swedish music sales is it a bucketload  She must be such a huge star over there
-
iTunes Chart: February 2011 (I)
As if this is still in the Top 10 in Sweden, it must have sold bucketloads! :o If only she could repeat that success here :( Anyway, hope Jessie can climb back and make it 2 weeks, and I hope S&M makes top 10

Oh My Flop !!!! Potential Big Hits That Flopped Big Time!!!
Agree with Robyn so much, considering how badly Body Talk flopped its mind-blowing to think that just 3 and a half years ago she had a #1 single! Dancing On My Own went #1 in Sweden for two weeks, shame it couldn't do the same here. I remember it was released when California Gurls was in the charts though, so it had no chance, but its such a great song. :(

iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I love long-lasting number ones, but over about 4/5 weeks they start to annoy me Umbrella's chart run was irritating, even though the song is amazing. Prevented the White Stripes and Kate Nash from making #1  Also, I hope Jessie can hold on! Hopefully the new release schedule will mean its popularity won't fall so quickly (or it could climb), whereas Chipmunk could see sales tail off towards the end of the week.

iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
Yeah, I guess it will, I would much rather Jessie had 2 weeks than have Chipmunk and Chris Brown get a week with a song that would be lucky (imo) to reach the Year End Top 40 :( And I'd add In My Head and Gettin Over You to the list of non-#1s from last year, although I guess its what you define as a non-#1 really B)

Oh god, can't believe Champion looks like it could get a week! Literally cannot stand the song, although I guess its an improvement on Oopsy Daisy imo :puke2: Such a shame, I was hoping it would be a while before we got a non #1 in 2011 Maybe one time we'll get another year with *mostly* great number ones a la 2005-2008

iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
Yeah, I guess that with a smaller population the effects will be greater. Those songs will be high on the Australian iTunes but they probably won't sell nearly as much as any song in that position on the UK singles chart. I also think that any hype will be exaggerated too. It would be interesting to go and see what the music scene is like though. ^_^ Kanye is dropping  By far the most commercial song on his album, I'd love it to chart high He needs to release the music video soon!
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I don't understand why this always happens in Australia  Forthcoming singles always chart extremely high weeks before anybody knows about them in the UK, usually before any of them even have music videos I haven't heard Just Can't Get Enough played anywhere, or E.T., I wouldn't have known they were going to be singles if I hadn't seen it here, so Australian radio must be really ahead of the game!

Is Jessie dropping, or is Grenade climbing? Either way her lead is still amazing :D
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I like American Life    Although it is one of my least favourite Madonna singles And she cannot rap at all, it's appalling To say that rap is easy is ridiculous The talent of people like Eminem, Kanye and Jay-Z is incredible, I certainly couldn't ever do it

Midweek #1's
Omg, really? :o   Would have been an amazing #1 I think In For The Kill was a midweek number one, don't know if this has been mentioned
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
Just because Britney didn't doesn't mean nobody can. Jessie J will do it this week, it's not impossible. Besides, GaGa has huge hype, and a Grammy performance, and a massive fanbase. Nevertheless, I could be completely wrong. I guess we won't know until its released.
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I think she could certainly get 2 weeks, but GaGa is releasing on February 13th, and it will be massively hyped, so she could deny Jessie a 3rd week. Then again, Bad Romance didn't debut at #1...

:w00t: :w00t: :w00t: I'd be so happy if it kept climbing, it could be such a big hit for her
