iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
How far off the rest of the top 10 is Jessie?
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I'm surprised, I thought Yasmin was a #1 contender. I don't think it's a good song though.
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I think iTunes has reverted, Jessie J down to 9 and Enrique has dropped too.

Buzzjack's Song of The Month- January
I understand your logic, but it's much easier to simply rank them from favourite to least favourite than the other way round.

iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I don't think its necessarily that people prefer females to males because of their gender, its just that more pop music is sung by females nowadays, and so naturally there will be a bias. Also, there are few big male popstars in the way that GaGa, Britney etc are. There's no David Bowie for the 2010s, so far, so "looning" is mostly directed to women. My iTunes is pretty equally divided between genres such as pop, rap, hip-hop, indie and alternative. There's pretty much an equal division of males to females overall. So whereas I seem to prefer more female pop music than male pop music, and more male rap music to female rap music, I think it's just that there seems to be a slight gender imbalance in popular artists of these genres. So for every Nicki Minaj or Missy Elliott, there is a Drake and a Kanye and a Jay-Z. Similarly, for every Bruno Mars or Enrique there is a Jessie J, Ke$ha and Rihanna. I don't like Bruno Mars, but that isn't because he is male, or because I hate his voice (it's great), it's just because I don't like his songs. You can't say that "average" female singers are liked more than "brilliant" male singers, because opinion is personal.

iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
Jessie J! :w00t: Of all this week's three main new releases (Yasmin, Jessie, Enrique) I thought it would do the worst, but I'm so happy to see it so high! Has a song ever got to number one with such little promotion?
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
Rolling In The Deep album version #3 Single version has dropped really far though
-
The **Irish** iTunes Chart 2010-2014
Adele could make #1 in Ireland at this rate! :w00t:
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I don't mind Grenade, but there are far better songs that could be number one.
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (IV)
I can see Bruno overtaking Ke$ha next week unfortunately. :( Great to see Pink so high!
-
Acts whose highest charting single is weird or unknown
Don McLean's American Pie only reached #2, whereas Vincent and Crying both made #1
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (III)
Yeah, I agree Enrique has more chance than Jessie, especially with no video. I've only heard it on radio once as well, and none of my friends know it. I'd be surprised if she didn't get there eventually though. I think Bruno might reclaim it, but if RITD holds up well it could be a miraculous climb to the top from Adele, and I guess it would be a chart double too!
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (III)
Anyone think Ke$ha can get 2 weeks at number one? I suppose Bruno or Adele could claim it if she starts to fall badly, and I guess Enrique has some chance, but I can't see Jessie J getting it yet Anyway, RITD top 10 twice! :w00t:
-
iTunes Chart: January 2011 (III)
Adele down to #5! :o Is she falling or are Blind Faith and Coming Home climbing? Hopefully the album picks will keep her in the top 5 this Sunday, although I was hoping she would climb to number one in the coming weeks. Looks unlikely now, even more than it did before. :(

I'm going to sound like such a newbie, but is this legal and legit? I thought it was a website, but when I clicked on it it changed my iTunes Store. I don't want to have clicked on any hack or anything, will this be alright? I can feel the laughs from everyone now :P Anyway, great for Adele! Hopefully Alan Carr will have given her a boost. I doubt Britney has any chance of making #1 this week but I can see it happening in a few weeks.
