Hi DaTilt, hope you're good! Great to see Slayyyter debuting for you this week good to see it giving her another official top 100 hit too.

Hi bgoood Great to see Angèle entering your top 5! I checked out her new album on Friday and really liked the Soulwax collab from the new tracks too. I like what I know of Palaye Royale so will need to check out that new entry!

Hi James, hope you're having a good weekend Wow, 'hate that i made you love me' returning to its peak after all this time 😮 love to see that impressive run. *.*

Hi Sergej, hope you're good Wonderful to see the Fontaines and ROSALÍA duet debuting for you already! I was hoping for greatness based on those names and it did not disappoint 🤩 My favourite from your throwback chart is 'Electricity' ❤️ it really popped off live when Dua included it in a dance-y section at her Future Nostalgia tour.

I can't see anything from you I'm afraid! 😱

Oh a pretty good hold for the fresh songs today then! Zach/Lana #15 too, KETTAMA still top 50, Justice still top 100 Here's hoping 'expectations' can still challenge for #1 post-weekend and with a physicals boost I see Fontaines' top 3 songs are now: 'Marianne' (#12), 'Demolition' (#18) and 'Six Shot Morning' (#22) - did not see 'Demolition' coming as one of them, it's track #5 on the album

Surely Adult DVD will do a lot better than predicted so far or am I blinded by personal bias sounds massive to these ears!

Hi Jim, I'm happy to hear you're pleased with some of my selections 🤩 'False Dichotomy' is another good shout from that Metric album! In fact I'd say it's my second favourite. I also remember particularly enjoying 'All Comes Crashing', 'Paths in the Sky' and 'I Will Never Settle' from it. I completely agree with your assessment on 'Eusexua' <3 I compared the Perfume Genius song in BJSC to it this month due to the similar sparse -> electronic build-up, albeit with an even more fleshed out runtime. 'Striptease' is a banger and another one with a memorable build-up! That production is so standout with the metallic, bleepy start that develops into a drum & bass sound. I appreciate SZA's talent as a lyricist in general but there's something about 'Good Days' that is particularly poetic, gorgeous indeed. I look forward to Addison's sophomore record if this was the standard of her debut! I agree the whole singles run of After Hours was a home-run. I haven't mentioned the title track yet but I love the dark, moody soundscape of that and how much room it has to breathe for 6 minutes. Love that 'Physical' is a big favourite for you too and on the forum in general <3 Oh 'Sympathy is a Knife' was a really good guess, especially as it finished top of my EOY 2024 countdown at the time - it did come really close to making my top 10 here. The whole BRAT album would certainly be one of my favourite records of the decade so far. Glad you also appreciate 'Widow' and I was also pleased to see you mentioning 'Devout' in the relevant Indie/Rock/Alt track of the week thread <3 bring on a third WMC album indeed. Thanks for sharing those beautiful, personal words about 'Play It Out'! I'll be sure to revisit that song in isolation as I think I've only ever listened to it in the context of the whole album. Great to see your own top 10 too, with the presence of 'Physical' and some other favourites in: honourable mention 'Capricorn', 'Last Dance' (one of my Bronzil 18s of course <3), 'Seventeen Going Under' (I wonder when that will be deployed in Pop Factor) and 'Stay Awhile' (still in awe of how high quality the Profound Mysteries trio was) 🥰 Thank you for the kind words! It was a pleasure to put this together.

01 Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love 02 Gary Numan & Tubeway Army - Down in the Park 03 Naughty Boy - La La La (feat. Sam Smith) 04 Sam Fender - Will We Talk? 05 Darin - En apa som liknar dig 06 Tom Grennan - Little Bit of Love I don't know how to feel about ranking a female vocal top in the male round, but 'How Deep Is Your Love' really takes me back to summer '15 memories before transitioning to Uni 🥹 and has held up well. I'm concerned for Gazza based on the rankings so far

01 Depeche Mode - Never Let Me Down Again 02 Fontaines D.C. - Favourite 03 New Order - Regret 04 Texas - Summer Son 05 Sade - Kiss of Life 06 Bananarama - I Want You Back I'm pretty sure I gave 'Never Let Me Down Again' top marks in BJSC and it was sounding as great as ever 🤩 'Favourite' will have to settle for being my second favourite x the jangly guitars and evocative chorus lyrics really hit <3

01 Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights 02 Robyn & Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat 03 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder on the Dancefloor 04 Adele - Skyfall 05 MARINA - Oh No! 06 Zara Larsson & MNEK - Never Forget You 'Wuthering Heights' is one of my favourite songs, so a nailed on #1, but it still feels wild to 'only' rank these Robyn and Sophie classics 2nd and 3rd in a round. I like everything here to varying degrees so apologies to those lower down.

I voted 'imperfect for you' as my favourite and 'Better Left Unsaid' for least favourite, the production has really dated

Words I didn’t ever expect to type: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard in the Spotify top 50

Ooh ‘Six Shot Morning’ was Fontaines’ highest song on Spotify in the end! I guess it has benefitted from being track 1 on the album. Pleased they’re doing so well this era, Dopamine Chamber is amazing 🖤

+05 Olivia Rodrigo - the cure +04 Ashe - Stop The Wedding! +03 Sam Fender & Olivia Dean - Rein Me In +02 sombr - My Body Isn’t Ready +01 Sienna Spiro - Great Expectation -01 Ella Langley - Choosin’ Texas -02 Taylor Swift - Patient Zero -03 ADÉLA - Nicole Kidman -04 Jamie Miller - Babydoll -05 Stella Lefty - Boston Here's hoping for some Fontaines and Olivia/Chappell in the top 10 next week

Woah some top tier songs here 😮 Lol at that MARINA video being retitled to 'Oh No! (I Feel Like I'm The Worst So I Always Act like I'm The Best)' in the streaming era mess

Oh I think 'Favourite' should go down pretty well on the forum, great pick ❤️ 'Regret' and 'Never Let Me Down Again' are also amazing 😍 the latter was sent to BJSC before so should have some recognisability from that

‘Stop The Wedding!’ has really hit me now ❤️ hope it can still be a future #1 even if ‘expectations’ turns out to be a hurdle.

The end of an earring just refusing to happen

A snippet of the Chappell version will have to suffice this week apparently :')

Going to need Tame Impala and co.'s collaboration with Justice to make the chart next week <3

Get that newsbeat promo Dopamine Chamber

'expectations' skipped is... a choice

You got your wish!
