Jadaver

Great news! She has 6 nominations for this video: video of the year best pop best direction best cinematography best editing best visual effects plus an 'artist of the year' nom overall too

This debuted on Spotify yesterday and has experienced a big climb today: 111 Ashe - Stop The Wedding! (+46) Ashe likely coming to achieve a second top 40 hit following 2020's 'Moral of the Story' by the looks of it

Ratatatata I had to create a topic book about the '70s in primary school and interviewed my mum for it, as she was born in the late '60s. This was the first time I'd heard of the Bay City Rollers as she explained they were her favourite group as a little girl! I was quite surprised by their sound when I eventually checked them out as a lot of her taste is not too far removed from mine. I guess it improved in the '80s David Essex was one of my nan's celebrity crushes so both of these fangirl-heavy acts covered in my family. I'm not crazy about any of this trio of songs but 'Hold Me Close' is the best of them, a song I mostly associate with adverts, although 'Rock On' is his most interesting for me.

Round 1: 33 (didn't get: Sherbet) Round 2: 36 (didn't get: Bryan Ferry) 3-in-10: 3 (Whole Again, The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling), It's OK!)

Delighted that Rob Kazinsky is returning to the show full time! Here's hoping they stick the landing of this Slater return a lot better than Zoe's.

Jadakissnia have voted! My top 20 or so was really strong, great final 👏

'Sugar Water Cyanide' truly the top 10 smash that got away as I was so late to the party xx Stanning us having the same #1 thank you for commenting <3

Slayyyter and Ariana bookending your chart really liked the sound of 'Michael.' from the new entries, Lotti's impact x

Happy 8th birthday sweetener!! 🤍 home to her best ever run of singles for me both musically and visually in 'no tears left to cry', 'God is a woman' + 'breathin' <3 forever grateful I got to see the accompanying tour

The Weeknd touring effect on Spotify today: 70 Starboy (+16) 126 Blinding Lights (+13) 134 Timeless (+34) 143 One of the Girls (re-entry) 183 The Hills (re-entry) 198 House Of Balloons / Glass Table Girls (new) - so pleased to see this charting for the first time! I was just listening to the Siouxsie and the Banshees song it samples

'Another Brick In The Wall' is easily my favourite to fall so far! 1979 was an exceptional year for chart toppers.

Yes well done Tylky for that 39 score on Friday! today's game: Round 1: 33 (didn't get: Simple Minds, 1974 - one year out) Round 2: 30 (didn't get: Neil Diamond, Heatwave) 3-in-10: 3 (My Way, Strangers in the Night, Three Coins in the Fountain)

I was obsessed with the Mylo Xyloto singles run at the time! I think I started my personal chart after 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' came out, so that run was hampered a bit by timing, but 'Paradise' made #2 for me and then 'Princess of China' and 'Charlie Brown' were both #1s! 'Every Teadrop Is A Waterfall' has held up as my favourite of the era (great to see that getting a mention in your commentary) but 'Paradise' is still strong too, was happy to see them getting another #1 with that. I remembered the instant grat saga and X Factor performance (that made me want to see them live at the time... one day!) but had completely forgotten the gift card effect had given it a helping hand to the top as well, what a time capsule. 'Feel The Love' takes me back to when I used to listen to Radio 1 before school one of the best of the year for me too. That D&B production is so dynamic, love the summery brass touches and John Newman's vocal is standout and soulful. I don't think I knew what he looked like until 'Love Me Again' came out and I remember being shocked that he was white! I also loved the more underrated 'Not Giving In', so great to see that getting a mention from you. Glee had used 'We Are Young' as part of season 3, which aired in late 2011, so that was my first exposure to it. The U.K. had previously got the show a lot later than the U.S. when it aired on E4, but the pace was synced up when it moved to Sky for that third season, even if haemorrhaging viewers by this point. Only one song from that series charted in the top 40 in the U.K. ('Rumour Has It' / 'Someone Like You') but the 'We Are Young' cover did well in the U.S. - making #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, before the original charted, so helped it to break out. Glee info dumping out the way (that part of my life forever burned in my brain...) - the original song has held up so well, as has 'Some Nights'. I remember discovering Janelle Monae through iTunes promoting 'Tightrope' as one of their free songs of the week! So it was a pleasant surprise to see her on a charting song a couple of years later, even if not the most substantial feature I actually really liked that Wanted song 'Chasing The Sun' at #2 as well, so I'm glad it was at least blocked by something good.

There are two unless my eyes are deceiving me! 21 Laura Nyro - Captain For Dark Mornings - (1969) 22 Scott Walker - Such a Small Love - (1967) Looking forward to listening through these I recognise lots of names but not sure about specific songs. I remember really liking that PJ Harvey one though <3

+05 Olivia Rodrigo - stupid song +04 Ariana Grande - hate that i made you love me +03 Madonna & Kylie Minogue - Love Sensation +02 Sam Fender & Olivia Dean - Rein Me In +01 Sienna Spiro - Great Expectation -01 Shakira & Burna Boy - Dai Dai -02 Silva Bumpa - On 2nite -03 Ella Langley - Choosin’ Texas -04 Stella Lefty - Boston -05 HUGEL, Imael Angel & Ultra Naté - Movin’ To The Sun

Hi James! I cannot get enough of this Slayyyter song at the moment 😍 so hyped for the full project. The absolute taste if it's #1 for you too! Surely a future multi-chart #1. <3 'the cure' coming for a very healthy position in my 2026 EOY countdown I feel like I should stan 'petal' a bit harder, as the lyrics are great and the production interesting, but it doesn't go quite as hard as I'd like it to maybe? I love the video though! thank you for commenting <3 Hi DaTilt! I'm so glad you were right about it qualifying 🥰 great result for a back-up choice! thank you for commenting <3 Hi Piran! Yay ❤️ I feel like 'God is a woman' was such a turning point in my appreciation of Ariana, soooo good *.* thank you for commenting <3 Hi Sergej! *.* this euphoric pop song is soundtracking the summer perfectly right now! thank you for commenting <3 yessssss get on it thank you for commenting <3

week ending 16/08/26: 03 Ariana Grande [117 posts] another week in the top 3 <3 thanks everyone!

If Ari sticks in the top 10 all week then 'hate that i made you love me' will tie 'thank u, next' as her longest running top 10 hit, impressive 🥳

'PROJECT X' is such a banger
