Which historic rock and roll site would you visit?
It must have just been the gig of a lifetime, even if you didn't like all the music, just the atmosphere!

I agree with "Severin" about Live Aid. Probably the biggest musical event of all time, and to actually be there would have been a memory of a lifetime! (The Wembley show of course!)

Children Of Jimi Hendrix
NME had a Hendrix-fest last Autumn; Hendrix on the cover, 4 or 5 Hendrix features etc. One of these articles listed modern guitarists and named them his "Natural Heirs" so to speak. ("Children of Jimi") They picked: - Carrie Brownstein - Josh Homme - James Dean Bradfield - Graham Coxon - Kevin Shields - Jack White - Johnny Marr - Jonny Greenwood - Andy Falkous - Matt Bellamy - Nick Zinner OK…. Josh Homme, Jack White aside (and maybe Jonny Greenwood)….. I'm actually in pain laughing at this list, what a joke!? The rest of these guys (and token female) don't come close to being in the same league as Hendrix! If ABBA had been a guitar band, the others would've been their guitarists! Hendrix was raw, charismatic, hugely inventive and poetic. They are formulaic, predictable, corny and frankly boring as f***! That's without even mentioning that at the core of JH's longevity and legend is the fact that he was a blues musician; yes he absolutely made blues contemporary for his time and was not a dust laden tradition keeper but he was a blues man through and through. (Only Jack White & Josh Homme have any real blues going on.) Let's have it right!

Jessie J - Who You Are + Singles
I hate how everyone is going on about how different she is and how its such a new sound?! She sounds the same as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Alesha Dixon, Sheryl Cole and countless other boring, produced, pop rubbish.
