    I'd love another rate! Although with DRUK/AS5/S12 all about to be b2b2b, perhaps the rate would be better off once season 12 has finished?

    But after S12 we'll just be on the verge of getting UK2/CAN1/AUS1 or whatever RuPaul has decided to throw at us then. Maybe this could be an annual or bi-annual thing with the way things are progressing now in the Drag Race universe?

    Isn't it time for a refresh on a Queen rate? We've had, what, four seasons and a christmas special since the last one? :D

     

    Wait, didn't realise this started in Jan 2017 so that'll give us.. 3 normal seasons, 2 all-stars and 1 christmas special.

     

    I'll happily host it if no one else has one planned.

    its getting a lot of backlash for centering it all around sympathising with a rapist and an attempted school shooter which i can understan entirely because it does kinda have the narrative of "we can understand why you did or tried to do this horrific thing because you've been through this, this and this" which isn't good as it does kinda justify things that should be unspeakable... but i also do see how they were trying to mame it a story about change and bettering yourself and learning from your mistakes etc

    Additionally the only bad person they don't seem to try to humanise in this season is

    the closeted gay guy (Monty)

    lol. This season is just messy in every meaning of the word.

    Playtest over Fifteen Million Merits?! Wtf you guys. It's one of the absolute best and it's SO mind-boggling I can't believe y'all got rid of it.

     

    Fifteen Million Merits is easily the weakest link here. Although I like the premise I think it was not executed well enough compared to the other episodes left.

    Yeah this is just as bad as S2, if not worse. So incoherent, all over the place, brand new narrator who somehow everyone seems to know and trust and tell everything despite being new in town. I have no idea whether a scene is in the past or the present. I don't think I'll be finishing this season after the first two episodes left me so underwhelmed.

     

    Some people on Reddit were saying that apparently

    there are no big twists this season and nothing stands out. It's just like every other teen drama show now

    but as I haven't watched it myself I'm not sure if that's true.

    I mean, it's all relative to the artist. #38 for Kylie and #87 for Madonna is a triumph but Spirit peaking at #59 for Beyonce is embarrassing.

    This (for the most part - not sure I agree on #87 for Madonna being a triumph but other than that). It's always relative to the artist in question. Ed Sheeran making #16 with a short chart run would be a flop compared to what people were expecting but yeah a Madonna or Kylie single going Top 40 in this day and age would be exceeding everyone's expectations so I guess I consider a song a flop if it does far worse than predicted.

    The finale was decent, the concentration camps and Edith's uploading at the end was perhaps moving too far away from the more realistic take on Sci-Fi that it was known for, but it was certainly thrilling to watch. Honestly I'm just gonna miss all the more minor topical extrapolations that happen, the bigger ones are all obviously very familiar and well presented but also the passing comments like referees being obsolete, 6G, Toy Story 10, Notre Dame rebuilt, I'd honestly say those are my favourite as it's just so cleverly done. After it's latest season, I really feel Black Mirror can take some hints from this, it's just a really well done dystopia.

    Not to mention passing comments on chocolate having run out, Greenland having melted, butterflies being almost extinct, etc. This is such an interesting show, eerily realistic and I really want more.

    This video sums up my feelings towards TLK very well. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it like I hoped to. There was something that bugged me with the movie and this video nails it right on the head.

    I think Medina's success in Denmark is very interesting to say the least. She's a huge danish pop presence and everyone knows her there. She has multiple hits every year. She's so far had:

    * 13 number one singles

    * 22 top 10 singles

    * 31 top 40 singles

     

    This is in less than 10 years. Her last hit was just earlier this year. YET when "First Time" with M-22 was released, a rather big hit in the UK, it didn't even chart. Not on the official chart nor in the Spotify Top 200. So weird.

    Miriam has ‘passed away’ aged 38 ,but was cremated under instruction from her Husband, before an autopsy could be carried out. RIP.

    Oh wow this was not what I was expecting when I opened up this thread but I looked at Wikipedia and there it says her husband suspects that it was murder?

On the 9th August 2019, it was revealed that Rivera had been found deceased on the 5th of February earlier that year. Although an apparent suicide, her husband Daniel Cuervo has stated his fears that she was in fact murdered and the suicide was staged.

    But to be honest I find Friends to be the most overrated TV show ever. Also of course it hasn't aged well but it's not that problematic if you just cut out Ross lol.

    Pierce Brosnan has joined the cast, with Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as the film’s main leads. Will and Rachel are said to be playing Icelanders and filming will be taking place in Iceland and Tel-Aviv, Israel.

    Pierce is supposed to be an Icelander too (and supposedly the most handsome man in Iceland too lol). Apparently their character names are supposed to be Lars Ericksson (Will), Sigrid Ericksdottir (Rachel) and Erick Ericksson (Pierce) none of which are actual Icelandic names so.. lol.
