Although I didn't reach a new peak, reach the top 10, or get a new placement, I at least had the highest placing song with no 18s which is something it was exciting seeing me race up the ranks in the second half after spending the first few batches worrying I'd wind up with less than 50 points lmao.

I'm a bit surprised at some of these predictions, especially some of the pop predictions which I'm kind of expecting to underperform (even if I like them myself). Personally I think Danæviia is being overlooked as a potential winner. Also would not be surprised to see Jadakissnia and Aeroche in the battle to win. Sneaky dark horse could be Land of DW. The song's received some attention and the emotional anchor behind it could help propel it higher than people are expecting. The song is certainly good enough to do well even without that added layer. There will probably be a few pop songs in the top 10, but given the amount of potentials in that field I feel like it'll be hard for most of them to run away with the win as the votes might end up kind of spread all over. Might be wrong, and if I am I think Hendinia is the most likely option. Finally, I think my entry would make sense as a contender too, but it's hard not to be biased towards your own entry lmao so I'll refrain from making any silly predictions on that. I'm enjoying seeing some hype for it in this thread but it remains to be seen how that translates to votes on thursday. I'd be delighted to either match or improve on my best result (5th), but I'm not holding out too much hope on that happening lol. I don't recall the exact method but IIRC it was something like looking at all predictions and hye provided in official threads in that contest. I gave a certain weight to each mention a country got from another contestant and I think it was something like 0.10 for just basic mentions (stuff like 'oh ive heard this song by XYZ' and 'the title for EFG's song is wild'), 0.25 for regular ol' hype with no prediction attached to it, 0.50 for predictions to qualify, 0.75 for predictions to go top 10 or be contenders to potentially win, and 1.00 for flat out winner predictions. It did mean I had to go over all the comments and assess them personally, which adds the hidden factor of my assessment of how to categorise a comment possibly not aligning with how others see them or how it was meant initially. It was fun but I don't remember how accurate the prediction was in the end, probably not very lol

In other words, it's about as likely to get it right as Cody is to refrain from predicting himself to DNQ in any given contest. Never a zero chance but not very likely either.

It's basically just predicting what the next word should be given the context it's provided, and whatever information you feed it (or don't) is more than likely to sway the results you get. For example if you were to mention that a large portion of voters tend to favor less commercial entries that might sway ChatGPT to discard any entries it deems too commercial even if that's not what you asked it to do. Even asking it flat out to not do something might sometimes make it more likely to do that because the mere mention of it is enough to influence the results lmao. Alternatively if you provide limited information you'll end up with it just regurgitating the songs in the same order you provided it like happened in Bré's instance lmao. AI can be fun as long as people are aware that it's basically just guessing most of the time and tends to "hallucinate", and since all it sees are strings of zeros and ones where we see text, images, and video, it shouldn't be surprising that its results are usually generic, repetitive, and tend to make no sense at all once put under even just a little bit of scrutiny.
