tbh It was a really strong semi for pop lovers, at one point I even had Taahino in the top half of my votes but I have rarely had as difficult of a time narrowing down my votes, so a large part of it kept fluctuating. All of my top 10 were songs I wanted to give at least 5 more points to. 😮‍💨

I already made some a while back that I never shared, AFAIK these two never got flags: African Gray (the name kinda speaks for itself lmao) Conoria (apparently the name Conor means 'lover of wolves' so I found it fitting to make a flag with a wolf symbol)

I'm curious, is there a specific reason for why confirmations are secret? I wonder if there could be a bit of hype built up if we revealed our entries in the thread when we submit them. That way mods could also get some help with the veto process from other players? I know at some point there was a change from publicly revealing the entries to private so I'm curious why that choice was made, and also what opinion others have on having them public vs private? The biggest benefit I can see from having them publicly revealed is we can listen to the songs as they are revealed, taking away some of the bulk of having to listen to 30/40 songs at the same time. I also feel it could kind of allow everyone to shine a little spotlight on themselves and get some hype, since some players struggle to get even a little hype no matter what they send it seems. Then we could always let people choose if they prefer to not reveal them until submissions close. Just a few thoughts I wanted to offload and hear your thoughts as well, hopefully not treading on anyone's toes.

Speaking of the Kluminican Republic: if anyone was wondering, here's the answer (fourth writer cited on Klumzee's sang): Maybe I'm wrong about the guaranteed veto thingy but I am 100% certain that Rose Gray is providing ghost vocals on Klum's entry 🤭 There's no way that she's not when the voice sounds identical to her AND she's cited as a songwriter lmao. (To be clear I'm not accusing Klumzee of anything, I just thought it was worth mentioning - it's a great song regardless but I didn't want to reveal this during the voting period to either discourage people from voting for it or encourage them to vote for it because of the fact lol)

Ok so as I was listening to the entries I stopped in my tracks during one of them because I couldn't help but think "damn this singer sounds SO much like [Artist I'm pretty sure would have gotten vetoed]", so I decided to check and to my surprise I see that artist is actually credited as a writer on the song and now I'm honestly convinced those are actually their uncredited vocals now lmao. 😂 (since I don't want this to influence anything I'll refrain from saying which song and artist I'm talking about until after voting closes but I needed to make this public note so I don't forget lmao) Anywason, my votes are coming very soon.

I'm hearing that Kyriatine is gonna take this, and sources tell me Kyriatine might take second and third place too, possibly the entire top 10. Allegedly. (aka. If no one's gonna hype ur entry you might as well do it yrself)
