I've created a BuzzBase over on Airtable which anyone can view and comment on. As of right now I have put in a lot of information from all contests but I am definitely missing a lot of info so if you have any data on the past contests that you want to share with me feel free to share it with me. Currently you can view Contests, Nations, Songs, and Artists but it's all in a beta stage atm. To view it you will need to have or create a profile on Airbase but it's completely free. Oh and yes, you can use it to check if a song has been entered or not.

I don't know much about who's gonna qualify or not, but the local bookmakers are predicting an approximate 37% chance of Kyriatine placing 21st in the semi final.

Hera hasnt been confirmed yet because there has been a LOT of controversy surrounding last weekend's results. Lots of honestly strange and suspicious stuff ranging from voting irregularities, lack of transparency from RUV, a LOT of people struggling to vote for Bashar because of some highly sus issues, text/app votes being down from 15-20% share of the total votes (on average) to a very unconvincing 1.5% share, and now Ásdís (the writer of the winning song) has said she wants to forfeit the win and allow Bashar to go but RUV said no I just don't understand why RUV allowed Bashar to compete in the first place if they didnt want him to win

How about you put your song in one of four categories (basically a graph ): MORE POP but NICHE MORE POP but CONVENTIONAL MORE DANCE but NICHE MORE DANCE but CONVENTIONAL obviously not every song will fit in these categories but I suppose the poster could just choose the combination that describes their taste better or who they think are more likely to be the target group of their song. Then these groups could be the allocation pots where half from each group is randomly drawn for one semi and the other half to another semi. This would mean both semis should have an equal amount of voters for all sides of this particular spectrum (as it does seem from my POV like these are where the main split comes in). Maybe flawed but I do think this completely random draw we currently use is always gonna be leave some people unhappy when they get (seemingly) shafted by an unlucky draw. (Not talking about myself here btw, I think it's pretty iconic to always get 21st or 22nd in the semi when I DNQ lmao)

Jæja, prob for the best tbh because life has suddenly become incredibly intense and probably will be for the next few months so I honestly don't know if (a) I can even vote in the final and (b) I can participate in the next few editions anyway. Sadly this marks the third time I give you very high points but they don't really count (the first and second one were when I gave top pts to Tennis Fan and Let You Go, unfortunately just in the Best Of contest rather than the real thing as I didn't participate in those editions :cry: )

I managed to find time to listen to the songs I hadn't heard yet and while I know the deadline is up and I accept my ban, but I just wanted to send them anyways since I managed to find the time to finish them. Whether they're included in the results or not is up to Rob, no hard feelings if you don't accept them (rules are rules after all). Just thought I'd send them anyway for completeness' sake ^_^ That being said, it was still really hard. Some amazing songs. Some countries getting possibly the highest they've ever gotten from me in a final :eyes:
