  1. I think they're trying to make it as clear as possible they've achieved so much, so that their break will be convincingly well-deserved.
  2. So it seems Sweet Melody is their best video then? From the votes here (although sample size quite small), everyone has included SM. Interesting.
  3. I really hope they're having a live band!
  4. Power - my absolute fave. The other four in no particular order: Holiday Sweet Melody Confetti Woman Like Me Touch
  5. Yup, you're right. Doesn't necessarily mean solo music, but solo endeavours - which have already begun anyway. Leigh-Anne signed hers much earlier this year.
  6. Won't be far off
  7. Even on iTunes where they usually do well, No has struggled. They had apple music support in terms of playlisting and it's also struggling there. Thinking about it again, I think the biggest issue here is over-saturation. From April to November, they've released five singles. Even the biggest artists will struggle to churn out five successful hit singles in 7 months. Typical example is Justin Bieber's Ghost, although you could make an argument for that as it is a post album single. Whether it was No or Between Us, I think it would face same fate regardless. I just hope the Between Us performance next weekend will help in some way, even if very little. After the tour next year, I think they shouldn't release anything else in 2022.

I suppose what I'm driving at is: why would it be so wrong if fans did the voting and not the committee? Both groups would be affected by sentiments, and individual/collective tastes. If I remember correctly, when Girls Aloud won British single in 2009, it was fan voted.
  9. Absolutely! So I can't blame No's underperformance on the video. These right here are some of the real reasons.
  10. Heartbreak Anthem didn't have choreo, yet it's amongst their all-time best-performing singles. Just saying. Edit: Actually, no, what's with this choreo fascination? Apart from Sweet Melody and Touch, which other successful Little Mix single was choreo-heavy? I can think of Salute and Move, which even though were fan favourites, weren't as successful as many of their hits without choreo. Think of SOTME, Black Magic, Power, and even Reggaeton Lento. Even WLM just had the bit with books on their head and the INCOMPLETE chair choreo. A video doesn't have to have choreo to sell a song. There are so many other creative ways to sell a song visually.

What makes an album "best album" though? Sales? Positive reviews by "critics"?
  12. #62 midweek today
  13. I think the girls themselves have probably accepted that perhaps they're never going to be big in the US. Each successive album debuts lower and lower. LM5 which was probably their last major shot was ruined by badluck.

I will be very surprised if it doesn't get nominated.

Click on the music week link and read the full article. There will be producer of the year and songwriter of the year. Well I hope it's true.

It's gonna get tough then. Artist of the year - Ed or Adele?
  18. I think what is trying to be said is that if it is going to do well, it wouldn't be underperforming at such an abysmal level right now. I personally think that Sweet Melody is better than No by just an edge. No is one of their best pop songs in my opinion, and deserves to be a top 5 hit at the minimum. But there is pop injustice. This injustice could have been influenced by all the reasons you stated; but for a single by an act as established as Little Mix to debut just a few spots away from #40, gives little hope. Which songs will it push away to climb? Adele and Ed Sheeran? Or up-climbing Christmas songs? Or singles to be released after Christmas? After Christmas, it will be few weeks away from ACR anyway. And as said above, good debut enhances playlisting; so if not doing well, it will likely be yanked off playlists pretty soon.

That's a good point actually. But in all fairness, Bad Habits deserves it. 11 weeks at number 1, and hasn't left top 10 yet.
  20. Or maybe we should confront the elephant in the room...
  21. The multiple formats helped though. I'm not sure they've ever had these many formats. If they just did a CD and a vinyl like Rod Stewart did, he possibly could have debuted higher than the girls.

Spice girls are at about 90 million, and Little Mix over 60 million. That's a huge gap, but theoretically possible if they keep going.
  23. That's the Little Mix magic I love to see lol
