When I saw that picture of Leigh and Perrie on set, the "emotional blackmail" worked for me, cos I was touched, and wanted the song to do even better. They have worked so hard! It hasn't got the best chorus and Jade's first prechorus, but they killed the vocals and I love the production too. This song is not even worse than other songs that have done incredibly well. Gosh I can cite loads of examples within a snap of my fingers. It's just one of those things. I'm still hoping it will rise in the coming weeks - not sure to what extent. If it doesn't, I hope the next single makes up for this! Their video viewings dropped suddenly after they left syco - after Woman Like Me. What was that about, and what's the magic?

In my opinion, Holiday was a great single. What killed it was the delay in the video, and the video itself wasn't all that worth the wait. Same delay contributed to Break Up Song not performing as well as it should have. There isn't much difference in the overall performance of both tbf - they both spent same number of weeks on the charts. Yes Break Up Song peaked higher, but quickly left top 10 after one week. In the context it was a lead single for a "new era", that difference in peak is nullified.

Unpopular opinion: I really love Holiday and My Love Won't Let You down. If Holiday had a decent summery sexy video released on the same day the single was out, it would have been a comfortable top 10 single. I love all the singles they released from this album. I love Happiness too.

They kind of suggested they're not stopping after the tour. They said they will take time out now and enjoy motherhood then re-start next year.

Hahahaha because I actually don't like choosing a favourite in a group. Each and everyone of them has been a favourite at one point or the other. I think Mel B is the most talented in terms of being an all-rounder, but sometimes I don't like her lol. I used to like Victoria too cos I saw myself so much in her. They always got their number 1 in week 1, but that changed with Sweet Melody. Only their lead singles go #1, but Sweet Melody wasn't a lead single. What I'm saying is that you can't always predict with what has happened in the past. This year is different - they have had 2 Collabs for songs not primarily theirs in the space of three months. This song has only just come out. Week 1 is not even over yet. Playlisting is only just starting. I'm not saying it's a Sweet Melody, but it deserves some time before we call it a flop.

Still, I just listened to Between Us from YouTube, and really Little Mix have had bops after bops after bops. Nobody seems to talk about how amazing DNA (song) is. I'm perched. I love ABBA, and I love Adele too!

Yes I agree. That's the other option - anniversary week. They were everywhere that week, and they announced they had given birth that weekend. It would have been a massive boost. Although that would have been too close to Kiss My release date. Also, was it known Drake was releasing this week by then? #7, #30 and #39 respectively. I think the girls are the only ones with three songs there lol.

We also have to remember though that most of these singles aren't primarily theirs. HA had been in the talks since last year. Ann-Marie needed to release Kiss My on the week of her album release. Unless the girls would have decided to only release one single from Between Us before the album, and to have it coincide with the album release. But it's a greatest hits album, and they probably understandably want to give every track there a single treatment. Releasing most of the new singles after the album wouldn't be a good idea either. Only other option would have been to push the album to next year. But it ruins the fun of their anniversary, and their tour would be around the corner. In my opinion, I see no wrong in what they've done so far. Someone here also recently mentioned they needed to prove a point, which I agree with myself. If this song will do well, it will - perhaps it needs time. If it doesn't, it's not the end of the world. Tell me that mega artiste who hasn't had a flop/close to flop single.

I think the problem with beginning of the year was that the covid rules in the UK at the time didn't really allow them shoot the video the way they wanted it. I'm not sure, but I think I remember that the day they shot confetti was the first day the rules were relaxed a bit - one of the last days in March. HA is still there, but it's been pushed lower down.
