  1. Was just about to say that
  2. #4 on NMF Spotify. Most reviews on the song have been generally positive tbf. 🤞
  3. Yes I much prefer My Love. That's my fave of the three.
  4. I like the song - it's cute.
  5. I've just seen this in Madame Tussauds, and was shocked to realise how tiny (in a cute way) these girls are - that's assuming their exact measurements were used. I've seen the girls live a few times, but this still came as a surprise. And how was Jesy even called fat?! I took a picture with their wax figures and they even seemed tinier lmao. So proud of them. They and The Beatles were the only music groups with their wax figures in Madame Tussauds London! That should count for something.
  6. Sounds like a decent track. Although with a voice like hers, she can save any song lol. Strange we don't have a date yet, but the chorus is out. Clearly it has to be the 1204 code.
  7. I want to say I'm getting sick of her whinging (did she seriously not expect the comparisons were bound to happen?!), but I realise she expressed it on Discord, where I suppose is a safe space? (Or not?).
  8. Just noticed Geri has unfollowed Mel B on instagram.
  9. I suspect she might be presenting an award tomorrow.
  10. I really want Beyonce to clinch this #1. Loving the tune more and more each day!
  11. OKAY! I thought at the core of human rights was choice? Choice about what you do with your body, your identity, who you sleep with, etc. Your hair, your skin, your face, your lips,..... your CHOICE! Choice has consequences, but where do we draw the line? People undergo cosmetic procedures (such as lip-fillers, nose jobs, etc) that could mimic features of another ethnicity; is that problematic? Do they get backslashed/cancelled? If we say that a white woman getting tanned and appearing racially ambiguous undermines the struggles of black women, do we also think a man who adopts gender ambiguity by cross-dressing, or surgically alters their sex is undermining the struggles of women? Where does the line get drawn? As has been stated, many other white celebrities have done exactly as Jesy, but I don't remember them getting this much backlash. If Jesy wasn't in a girl group (with mixed heritage girls), would she have faced same criticisms? BTW, Jade has had braids, but I suppose that's acceptable as her mother is half black. At what point in one's black ancestry do we say one is no longer black enough and can no longer express elements of black culture? Grand parents? Great grand parents? I hate to say this, but Jesy was my least favourite member: Her energy sometimes appeared dampening and confusing. However, I think she's getting a lot more hate than necessary. The breakdown in their relationship is likely complex, and I can bet it was way beyond the "blackfishing" issue. I suppose all we've heard about how she left (Jade saying they lovingly advised her about blackfishing, and Leigh-Anne texting that Jesy blocked them and cut them off) has been one-sided: we are yet to get Jesy's side of the story. There are always lots of contributory factors without painting any one person as evil. Perhaps that's what she will tell in the documentary. The only objective/proven major misstep to me was that instagram live with Nicki Minaj. It was awful, unnecessary, even made BBC evening news, and seemed to make a mockery of Little Mix's image of female solidarity. That she laughed when Nicki was capping isn't the problem - what else would she have done without appearing rude in a live session that's apparently in her favour? With what she knows now, I guess she's probably wishing she was never put in a group. There would have been no comparisons with her looks, size, and now skin colour; and she probably wouldn't have had the mental health struggles she had. The bigger problem is that the comparisons are unlikely to end, because she'll always be remembered as who she was at the height of her fame - A Little Mix girl!

  13. Power of a Christmas single! It's now their 38th most-streamed song on Spotify. Only a handful of their really famous album tracks have more streams (Oops, Love Me or Leave Me, album version of few singles, etc). By next few Christmases, I wonder where it would be!
  14. Oh gosh I'm sorry. The charts I was looking at was "top 40 so far" dated October 2023. Must be the jetlag. Edited post.
  15. #28 top 40 as at October. Hoping it's stable by the time year end charts is released.
  16. "Off key performance" is a negative generalization. "Constructive criticism" does not brand the entire performance off key with that emoji. The tone of that comment reeks of mockery and condescension - like, isn't that obvious? Such comments are what people write on forums like this and on daily mail. Taking it to the person's page is insolent, and so they can decide to respond however they wish on their page/profile.
  17. That's NOT constructive criticism; that's trolling. The offending troll isn't the issue now, rather her response is getting the dissection. Is she winning? Depends on your definition of winning - putting out #1 singles, or personal growth. Only you can define your wins, and not some random person on the Internet.
  18. 106 weeks on official charts. Would be interesting to see if it overtakes Glory Days' 173 weeks. I suspect it will, eventually.
  19. She's probably still lacking in confidence from her experiences in the group as told in her book. If you watch back even her most recent performances in Little Mix and pretend the other girls weren't there, there really isn't much difference with her current performances as a soloist. Still same Leigh-Anne, so not underwhelmed. Sometimes, some people are better off in a group. Will she get better? Who knows! Time will tell. Apart from the usual few we can easily count, I don't know many ex [successful] GG members whose consecutive live solo performances (not music videos with all the padding) are particularly striking.
  20. Actually, my issue with Leigh-Anne's clips I've seen isn't about the "performance", but about vocal delivery. The dances/gesticulating/movements and everything else that make up a performance seem alright to me. The examples you gave were for National TV performances, and that's a lot of difference - cameras, audience, staging, backup dancers, etc - all of which make a performance appear bigger/better. But also, Jesy was always a better performer than Leigh-Anne in Little Mix, so I wouldn't expect things to change overnight in their respective solo careers.
  21. These clips are too short to form an opinion on the performances. We must remember that these girls' entire experience with live performances was as part of a group. So it will take sometime to get used to performing solo and singing whole songs solo. At least she's actually singing live. Also just seen the Kiss Haunted House party performances: It's no longer business as usual where they could get away with skipping lines/notes and asking the audience to sing (as they all did in Little Mix); such skips now make the singing so vacant/empty as it's just her and her alone. The performance of My Love was great though - she probably should have mimed all through if she wanted to focus on choreo/performance (like most other artists do - including her ex-bandmate)
  22. Finally! Happy for them. Wish it was another song with that popularity though. Black Magic is so teen pop, and so Little Mix will always be seen as a teen pop act by the general public, even though they have songs Woman Like Me, Sweet Melody, Move, Confetti, etc.
  23. I'm surprised at her surprise. But again, I'm surprised at my surprise of her surprise! She says/writes/shares things sometimes that make me cringe. She was the one who said on IG live that Trash would blow up Tiktok. She also shared a post of someone saying she'll be the Beyonce of the group. There are other examples I can't remember. Some of these thoughts/wishes/expectations for some reason get jinxed once they're put out there, which is why it's often best to keep them to oneself/inner circle. I didn't like that people were blaming her for the performances of her songs. I think she's put in a lot of hardwork. The expectations are unbelievable as well. Artists from groups do not have their group's level of success; Examples are too numerous to mention. The exceptions are an anomaly, and it's usually one person out of the group There'll be a bit more happiness in the world if people manage their expectations better.
