Mack's #ThrowbackThursday Re-Up
This Week: 1984- Sheila E- The Glamorous Life 'The Glamorous Life' was the first single from Sheila E's debut solo album of the same name. This would go on and peak at #7 in the Billboard Hot 100. In the UK this was released but it peaked at #96. This would be the highest charting single in the US for Sheila E. 2003- Justin Timberlake- Cry Me A River 'Cry Me A River' was the second single from Justin Timberlake's debut solo album 'Justified'. This would go on and peak at #2 in the UK, in the US this would peak at #3 in the Billboard Hot 100. When I was younger I thought when Timbaland says 'the damage is done, I'll guess I'll be leaving' that he was on about cabbages. This would come 97th in my Top 100 of the 2000s which I did back in 2015. 2003- Big Brovaz- OK 'OK' was the second single from Big Brovaz's debut album 'Nu-Flow'. This would go on and peak at #7 in the UK.

Mack's #ThrowbackThursday 00s Edition
This Week: 2000- Embrace- You're Not Alone 'You're Not Alone' was the second single from Embrace's second studio album 'Drawn from Memory' This would go on and peak at #14 in the UK, this is one that I'm really not famailar with or seeing this on Top of The Pops, sorry. But this is definitely listenable from Embrace. 2006- Charlotte Church- Moodswings (To Come At Me Like That) 'Moodswings (To Come at Me Like That)' was the fourth and final single from Charlotte Church's fifth studio album 'Tissues And Issues'. This would go on and peak at #14 in the UK, this was one that I vaguely remember. I would say that the music video is quite impressive. From her 'Tissues and Issues' era, I would say that 'Crazy Chick' was the highlight from that album. 2009- The Prodigy- Omen 'Omen' was the first single from The Prodigy's fifth studio album 'Invaders Must Die'. This was The Prodigy's first single since 2005. This would go on and peak at #4 in the UK becoming their highest-charting single since 1996. This would come 100th in my Top 100 Songs of the 2000s which I did back in 2015. This is an great song from The Prodigy with vocals from the much missed Keith Flint.

Mack's #ThrowbackThursday 00s Edition
(6th March Edition) 2002- S Club 7- You 'You' was the final single from S Club 7's third studio album 'Sunshine'. This would go on and peak at #2 in the UK. 2008- The Wombats- Moving to New York 'Moving to New York' was an re-release from The Wombats' debut studio album 'A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation. This would go on and peak at #13 in the UK, I remember this well from The Wombats and thought this was all right from them, it isn't one that I have heard for an while. 2009- U2- Get On Your Boots 'Get On Your Boots' was the lead single from U2's twelfth studio album 'No Line on the Horizon'. This would go on and peak at #12 in the UK, at the time I think this was considered from critics although I could be very much wrong there. This song ended U2's run of 14 consecutive UK Top 5 singles. In the US this peaked at #37 in the Billboard Hot 100.

Grand National 2025
Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin will skip next month's Grand National after trainer Gavin Cromwell decided to rest him for the Aintree showpiece. The seven-year-old denied favourite Galopin Des Champs a historic hat-trick at the Prestbury Park course last Friday as Mark Walsh rode him to victory by six lengths. Inothewayurthinkin was the 5-2 favourite for the Grand National on 5 April, but the JP McManus-owned horse was scratched from the list of entries for the iconic Liverpool steeplechase on Tuesday.
