Rapper A$AP Rocky has been found not guilty of firing a gun at a former friend. A jury in Los Angeles acquitted the musician, whose legal name is Rakim Mayers, on two felony assault charges that carried up to 24 years in prison. Terell Ephron claimed the Grammy-nominated hip-hop star opened fire at him during an argument on a Hollywood street on 6 November 2021, grazing his knuckles with one of the shots. Mr Mayers, who is also a fashion mogul and the longtime partner of pop star Rihanna, denied the charges, arguing that the weapon was a prop gun and that his former friend, who calls himself A$AP Relli, was only after money. As the first not-guilty verdict was read on Tuesday, the court rang with screams and clapping. Mr Mayers rushed towards his family and Rihanna, who were seated behind him. He dived over a wooden barrier to embrace them.

2025 Rugby Thread
Ireland captain Caelan Doris, Ronan Kelleher and Tadhg Furlong have been ruled out of Saturday's Six Nations game against Wales in Cardiff (14:15 GMT). Leinster back row Doris has picked up a knee injury, while hooker Kelleher is struggling with a neck issue. Prop Furlong missed Ireland's wins over England and Scotland, and while the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) said he was "making good progress" on Sunday, he remains unavailable. After facing Wales, there is another down week before Ireland host France at Aviva Stadium on 8 March. "We're hoping they'll be available for France, they're just going through their processes they do with the physios, but they're all making good progress," said Ireland attack coach Andrew Goodman. With Ulster's Iain Henderson and Cormac Izuchukwu also ruled out, Ireland called up six players on Sunday, including Stuart McCloskey, Jacob Stockdale and Nick Timoney. Munster forwards Gavin Coombes and John Hodnett and Leinster back row Diarmuid Mangan were also added to interim boss Simon Easterby's panel on Sunday.

Premier League 2024/2025
Referees' chief Howard Webb says Michael Oliver was wrong to send off Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly during their Premier League win at Wolves. Arsenal were fined £65,000 for failing to control their players during the incident in which 18-year-old Lewis-Skelly was shown a straight red card for a foul on Matt Doherty in a 1-0 win at Molineux on 25 January. Video assistant referee (VAR) Darren England upheld referee Oliver's decision that Lewis-Skelly committed serious foul play. The Gunners appealed against the decision and the teenager's three-match ban was subsequently overturned.

2025 Tennis Thread
Jannik Sinner's case was "a million miles away from doping", a senior figure at the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) has said. The men's tennis world number one was handed an immediate three-month ban by Wada on Saturday after reaching a settlement over his two positive drug tests last year. Sinner, 23, was cleared of any wrongdoing by an independent panel after testing positive for banned substance clostebol in March 2024. Wada had been seeking a ban of up to two years after launching an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) following the initial decision by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) not to suspend Sinner. However, a deal was reached when Wada accepted Sinner was inadvertently contaminated and "did not intend to cheat".

2025 Formula One Season
Andrea Kimi Antonelli says he had a week "like hell" in the build-up to his debut season in Formula 1 - but not because of the pressure of replacing Lewis Hamilton. The 18-year-old rookie passed his driving test in January, six weeks before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. While there were no major scares for Antonelli, he did make "one little mistake" on his theory test. "But I had three allowed, so it was fine," the Italian told BBC Sport. Antonelli is George Russell's new team-mate at Mercedes, after seven-time world champion Hamilton left to join Ferrari on a multi-year deal

Former British number one Laura Robson says it is a "huge honour" to welcome women's professional tennis back to Queen's for the first time in more than 50 years. The iconic London venue will host a women's tournament for the first time since 1973 in the lead up to Wimbledon this year. Australian Open champion Madison Keys, four-time major winner Naomi Osaka, current British number one Katie Boulter and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu have all been confirmed to play in the June event. Reigning Eastbourne champion Daria Kasatkina is the fifth name to have been revealed on Tuesday, with more to come in the future.
