Only heard this for the first time today. Lyrically, one of the best songs I've ever heard. Actually, the whole song is unbelievable. The melody, the lyrics, the production. Must have been such a difficult song to write because the melody is so complex!

Feel like this era is just a massive regression from her last album to really immature stuff.

I think it may just be you dislike house and EDM. I love house and think this year has had some fantastic chart toppers. Sure, Robin Thicke, Icona Pop and John Newman IMO were shit number ones but this has been a fantastic year for music I think. Personally think that 09/10 were pretty terrible with all the poppy hip hop in the chart.
