'New Single'. This is the first song along with Icarus they put out. I love it and the new version is spectacular, but every single except for bad blood has been an old or one of their first tracks. If they release Things we lost to the fire I may boot kick them in the face. Should have been 'these streets'.

As much as I love Icarus and Laura Palmer and TWLITF, I hope that they actually release the new songs, i.e. these streets, oblivion, WOLP2 etc. Icarus and Laura Palmer are over 3 years old and were produced when Bastille hadnt been formed and it was just Dan.

To me Icarus is the next smash single but I have a feeling Bastille will go down an 'Ellie Goulding' route and have flop future singles

I wouldn't even say that much. She fell out of the top 200 on her second week and didn't even return when domino got big.

I think Icarus is by far the most catchy and is destined to be a single. Also think Oblivion has massive potential aswell. Im glad they refurbed TWLITF and LP. So happy to see them do well though.

All I'm saying is mainstream and alternative are subjective terms.

Alternative ad mainstream are completely subjective definitions though. When I submitted 'Laura Palmer' into BJSC last year, everyone said Bastille wouldn't get big because they were 'too alternative and/or indie'. Pompeii is in the same vein as Laura Palmer, and I'm fairly sure people just think if a song band/ song gets popular then it's pop and no longer alternative.

Oblivion, Weight of Living, These Streets, Laura Palmer (New Version) sound so fu cking amazing, much like the rest of the album. I am so excited for this. 3 years I've been waiting, worth it.

'My Kind Of Love' is a bit of a dance anthem though.

I dont mind the video, I think the ACH video is a lot worse. Plus, dont videos take ages to film, edit? Unless we got something like your song.

The public always prefer Ellie's ballads. That why I think My Blood still has a chance to smash.

THAT final chorus on 'Blood' is just incredible.

I personally think ACH is the highlight of the album, Atlantis is a disaster in my opinion. After that it would be 'My Blood' and 'Only You'. The verse after the first chorus in Only You is SO massive. Love F8 until the final course and it all gets a bit much for me.

30. Ellie Goulding- Explosions

I hate the new version of Rattle. The original without vocals is amazing.

51. Ellie Goulding- Explosions Hopefully she can get another hit with this. Would be sensible to push this as the next single, then 'My Blood' then 'Only You' for summer.

Halcyon is actually well sort of well... Wasn't lights only on some thing like 150k after 3 months as well or something?

I think Halcyon might get nominated for album but it certainly won't win because Emeli is bound to take it.
