I did not expect ‘Sports Car’ blow up like that all of a sudden!!

I’d be happy if this ends up reaching Platinum (and eventually Double Platinum in the long run, although that might be a reach).

The UK is arguably Gaga’s second biggest market (or third if you factor in Brazil, although I still think Gaga is bigger here in the UK than Brazil). It’s so strange to see she’s paid the UK industry promotional dust since…forever. She used to be OBSESSED with being in the UK up until the end of Born This Way/start of ARTPOP. Come to the United Kingdom mother!!!

I think we have time if they were to push a quick radio single with like a visualiser with a lyric video (hi ‘How Bad Do U Want Me’), before slowly but steadily releasing ‘Zombieboy’ to the public. 4-6 weeks is a very long time in pop music and Gaga’s streams are steadily decreasing. As she starts tour in early July, she won’t get time to properly promote anything so now is the time to release anything (I do think releasing ‘Zombieboy’ now if it’s for Wednesday is a tad too early, we do not want a situation like ‘Anxiety’ where it gets social media traction through trends then disappears and vanishes and doesn’t get it back after music video premiere/aftercare of release).

If her team is smart (lol), then they would quickly push something now before re-releasing ‘Zombieboy’ with ‘Dead Dance’ in late July/start of August as a joint double A-side single to coincide with Wednesday Season 2 back on Netflix. That would ensure the momentum gets thoroughly captured through the entire year (with her then also being on tour so she’s kept busy).

I AGREE!! At this rate I’ll even take ‘Blade of Grass’ if it means new visuals 😞😞

I’m…..not 100% sold on this song and that’s with 3 plays of it. It’s certainly no “song of the summer” the way ‘Espresso’ was, and it sounds too similar to ‘Please Please Please’ (which given Barry’s feature and now a written track about him, I get the connection but it’s sonically too similar to be a hit I reckon).

The teaser sounds better than ‘Ariana’, but a 4/10 inevitable track isn’t much of an upgrade from a -1/10 x

The theme seems to be ‘Mayhem’ related still, with the latest fashion choices and hair colour. C’mon mother, make that post come true on being a promo music video for one of your songs on the album!!

The post came from someone who randomly tweeted it as more of a ‘hopeful’ post, which then BBC latched on and now it’s spreading like a wildfire. I don’t think there’s any substance behind the said rumour either 😢.

I do think a new single will be pushed and released this month, I have strong faith in that. I’m not convinced a new music video will be released in conjunction with it though. A “deluxe” re-release is also very highly likely in Fall ‘25 around Halloween time with ‘Dead Dance’ being registered and what not, although we know how quick Gaga is to drop a project completely (Hi ARTPOP ACT II and the original concept for LG5). That being said, mother has always rebelled against the idea of “deluxe editions” as one of her pet hates so would we see perhaps a ‘The Fame Monster’ 2.0? Who knows!

@Jordanlee1402 the said playlist is 2 weeks old, so it’s not entirely confirmed yet. I don’t think Gaga herself still knows what to release as her next single to be honest. ‘How Bad Do U Want Me’ should’ve been released at least a month ago, when it was taking off virally and had multiple celebrities posting Tik Toks of them using the song. It seems like a case of another “they missed the boat” scenario. Be intrigued to see what Gaga cooks up with, as between now and the Mayhem Ball Tour, there’s nothing scheduled as far as I’m aware. If her and her team is smart they would be using the time to plan and film a music video, or multiple videos, and serve them a week or two before she officially commences the said tour. Mayhem’ as an era simply cannot end on the ‘Abracadabra’ note, the way she let ‘Chromatica’ did (although she did release ‘911’ so there’s still hope if she follows a similar path as her previous era)! The difference between the two is, nothing beyond the singles for me even sounds single worthy in her past era, whereas this era has 5 singles dying to get released as a single (Garden of Eden, Vanish Into You, How Bad Do U Want Me, Zombieboy and Shadow of a Man all are single material songs).

I haven’t gone off ‘Zombieboy’, but I always hoped ‘Garden of Eden’ would get that choice instead despite the limited possibility. I would even take ‘Vanish Into You’ or ‘How Bad Do U Want Me’ in replacement. It certainly is the weakest of the 4 tracks currently in rumour circulation for next single treatment.

ICONIQUE performance!! This pretty much confirms that Zombieboy is going to get the next single treatment (and dare say they’ll probably push it in conjunction with Wednesday’s Season 2 release). (I do wish her wig was black to stay with the whole gothic theme this era though oop)
