I’d love to be positive, but the team that managed Gaga have done it horribly wrong since The Fame/Monster days. I remember the whole Katy vs. Gaga gate but Katy’s team were phenomenal at promoting her even with the use of payola to gather airplay/social media presence. I really thought we would’ve had even a short TV performance by now, or like Adelita said a physical EP. Her team just never learns from previous mistakes :drama: ….which makes me worried on how the promo of LG7 is going to be because let’s face it, Chromatica was horribly planned too (granted there was Covid as an obstacle but still).

:cheer: Now we need to get that lift in the UK this week (and next if I’m right?) so it doesn’t go ACR :(

The song has had a good run. It’s a massive hit, but I knew it wouldn’t get #1 but rather linger around forever and accumulate sales that way in the US/UK. I was right with my early initial predictions :D

The Sailor Song is absolutely terrible as well. Can we have a televised performance of this please, or maybe if this gets used in Strictly or something would be beneficial.

I’d say #3 will be its peak in the UK. I can’t see it reaching #2 with Sailor Song going up, and with the new Charli XCX

What a good way to swiftly move on from the Joker backlash. Fingers crossed this entire campaign will be much better executed than Chromatica. More promos, a build up to the release of lead single followed by several singles is the ideal (and major TV award show performances). What’s her schedule like next year? It seems pretty free from the looks of it to allow the above to happen.

I agree. If DWAS became a bonus track or something on the album so it features in one form or another. Not sure if it’ll fit the overall aesthetic and vision of LG7 though.

The area where it’s being let down is AirPlay in the US. It’s slowing down so much on it and the radios aren’t on board with the track as fast as I hoped (strange considering everywhere else in the world, AirPlay is eating this song up).

As biased as I am towards Gaga, arguably Espresso is probably a bigger hit than DWAS. If you look at Spotify, Indonesia and US gives this song a lot of its streams. In terms of exposure, Espresso does eclipse this song, but I don’t deny the impact DWAS has and is a hit but more of a ‘sleeper but non-sleeper’ hit if that makes sense.

Its sales went up though last week versus the previous, so shouldn’t it have avoided ACR already? :unsure:

The Joker is really good, just downloaded the album and having a listen through now.

This is so much to process. DWAS then LG6.5 then Joker 2 then LG7 lead single then LG7 all in a space of 6 months :drama: We are spoilt!
