I’m ok with the soundtrack not to be a big massive success. As long as the movie is (despite the not so warm critical reception). I fear that if the soundtrack is as big as what A Star is Born was, it would eclipse the LG7 1st single and any hype going into the new era. With DWAS carrying the musical hype right now that Gaga is ‘back in the game now’, Joker 2 further carrying her name on the press and if the soundtrack is too commercial I would be pushing back the lead single if I were on her marketing team (something which I don’t want from a selfish fan point of view).

If Sabrina’s sales decline from next week onwards, and Gaga/Bruno continues to also decline which would go ACR first? I’m trying to work out that if Sabrina gets a move on and drops that’s when DWAS will get a chance to benefit and climb up the chart. Otherwise I think it’ll be doomed to move any higher (unless sudden press makes it skyrocket).

Can someone explain to me the ACR rule, and when DWAS goes on it if it continues its projectory? And whether or not it has a chance to even go #2 (aka. when does Sabrina go onto ACR as I’m aware she refreshed her cycle today).

I get the impression it’ll be a hit that stalls around #3 on charts but linger around for a long time.

People keep forgetting that The Fame/The Fame Monster was a monster of an era. She was untouchable at that period and was the peek of her career. That’s something she’s achieved already, but with her lasting this long is indeed of an achievement. I mean you can have a look at the likes of Katy Perry etc, she’s miles above pop stars who came out roughly the same time as her.

Another point to add, but this paves VERY WELL for the success for LG7. The success of this being a hit, and if Joker aligns well for Gaga as well to be a box office success and rave critical reviews, then LG7 will be huge for her. AND f***ING MUCH DESERVED.

This song is an instant hit for me, very much ‘Shallow’ was. ‘Hold My Hand’ cannot compare, it is by far so inferior to this. The minute it was released, I cried and cried because of how beautiful it is and how I really relate to it. It deserves to be a mammoth of a #1, and a slow burner one too.
