Honestly the intro is so so good, but I’m not sure the actual song will be a hit. They should’ve pushed ‘Glamorous Life’ instead, rather than two upbeat songs as Singles #1 and #2 (although I get why as ‘Shape Of A Woman’ is featured in a scene so for exposure purposes, it’s rightfully deserved in an aspect).

The songs are out in HQ, and I obviously being the bad fan can’t wait until midnight and have listened. ‘Shape Of A Woman’ is incredibly good, definitely if it was a Mayhem bonus track would rank for me just behind ‘The Dead Dance’. It fits nice on ‘Mayhem’ sonically. ‘Glamorous Life’ is a masterpiece of a ballad. Is it safe? Yes. Is it also a hit in making? YES! Something about it reminds me of ‘Second Time Around’ demo, but with more power vocals. So so good!!

I mean her poor acting throughout it has nothing got to do with the fact I dislike the first half of the video even more oops :’). This is another controversy, but I find the bridge of the song can be cut 3/4. The iconic electric guitar breakdown needs to remain as it’s so divine and one of the best drops ever recorded. On another note, I have played ‘Marry The Night’ quite a bit today and yesterday, so maybe it’s redeeming for me finally after years of not fully enjoying it .

The song remains sublime, and the video brings it to another level *. Rise rise rise!!!

YES IT IS! The first HALF of ‘Marry The Night’ is pure snooze fest. My biggest criticism of Gaga during the ‘Born This Way/ARTPOP’ era was her unnecessary use of them 9 minute videos. ‘Paparazzi’ and ‘Telephone’ are perfect examples of videos where being long actually adds some quality storyline. ‘Alejandro’, ‘Born This Way’ and ‘Marry The Night’ is a….no from me. ‘Abracadabra’ is what Gaga WANTED to do for the named three but didn’t deliver. (I’m getting shot now guarantee you) Also on other good news…

The massive stream increases will hopefully impact on tomorrow’s streaming update. Let’s hope with the resurgence of the movie and music video, it’s enough for playlists to re-add the song!

This has entered the Top 10 in the US iTunes!!

And the video still hasn’t finished the 24 hour countdown too!!! Still amazing given the fact the song was out nearly 2 weeks ago, so the videos is purely based on artist/movie hype and word of mouth/social media exposure!

Paris just understands Gaga so so well, and I really hope whatever is coming next includes her as a director because my god the pair of them are a match made in HEAVEN! The problem I have with this, is a lot of the songs on the album are brilliant on a pop level (hooky chorus, has a catch to the verses) but are let down by it being too short or they sort of….blend into one another by being sonically too similar. What essentially is a 16 track album, can be condensed down into a 10-12 track and just rewritten so it actually gives the song some context. (Shimmer remains iconique and it’s a shame she’s suffering a lot of backlash due to her new body image)

What has ‘Runway’ ever done to you, for all this unnecessary hatred and anger that you have going on. 🥺

‘Runway’ is better than ‘Marry The Night’ and ya’ll will deal with that lovely fact!!! I lowkey want Gaga to win an Oscar based on her own acting merit, and not because she wrote a song for a movie now. But still a second Oscar should happen (and it won’t because of my little fact of an opinion above ).

SCR means it has been reset, so it’s eligible for its full entitled chart position without it being penalised I think. More weeks in the Top 40 then!!!
